We take Disney World bathrooms very seriously here at AllEars.
We have our favorites at each park, and we also want to keep you updated on bathroom closures. Well, there is one restroom closure that has begun to make us worry.
We are really beginning to worry about some Magic Kingdom bathrooms. The restrooms next to Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland have been closed since January 2024. That’s right, it has been NINE months since we have been able to use these bathrooms.
When the bathrooms closed in January, a sign was put up that said, “This restroom is currently being refurbished.” Perfect, that is nothing out of the ordinary and we were excited to see what kind of updates they might make to the bathrooms.
However, now that we are in September we are starting to get very curious about what is being done with the Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms and when they will actually be opening.
We walk by the restrooms with anticipation each day, hoping to see that the construction walls mysteriously disappeared overnight. But so far, we have just been met with disappointment. It has been over 200 days of seeing construction walls next to Pinocchio Village Haus and we wonder how many more days it will be.
Luckily there are still plenty of bathrooms nearby, but we are hoping these bathrooms reopen soon! If you are in Fantasyland and need the restroom, you can head over to the Tangled bathrooms by Haunted Mansion, the bathrooms by Gaston’s Tavern, or the bathrooms next to Chesire Cafe.
We don’t know why the bathrooms by Pinocchio Village Haus have been under refurbishment for so long, and Disney hasn’t made any announcements about when we can expect to see them reopen. It is possible they hit a speed bump, and the refurbishment is just taking longer. There have also been lots of other construction projects around Disney World that may have gotten priority.
We also secretly hope that they are completely redoing the bathrooms with beautiful designs and hidden details, and these bathrooms will be the best bathrooms on property when they open. Probably not as likely as the other options, but you never know!
We will continue to keep an eye on these bathrooms so we can update you as soon as they reopen. At this point, we think a whole bathroom tour might be called for. Even though the Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms are still closed, that won’t stop you from having an amazing day in Magic Kingdom:
