Let’s say you’re strolling around the Magic Kingdom and hunger suddenly kicks in. What are you to do?
You’re in luck as there are quite a few dining options to choose from and we’re not just talking about eating a Mickey Pretzel, cheeseburger spring rolls, or even the beloved corn dog nuggets! As we were saying, you’ve got a lot of choices, but there’s one particular restaurant that for some reason right now has been getting a string of negative reviews. Let’s talk about it!
As we mentioned, there’s a restaurant at the Magic Kingdom that, has been pretty hit or miss as of late. We’re talking about the Plaza Restaurant. Let’s see if we can get to the bottom of this.
Let’s start by checking out what our readers have to say.
First up, one of our readers rated the restaurant a 5 out of 10 and shared, “The food is a hit-and-miss. The club sandwich and onion rings were good but the chicken sandwich was awful. The breading was gummy on the inside but practically burnt on the outside. However, the biggest turnoff is there is NO BATHROOM and the dining room is tiny.”
Another reader rated the restaurant a 5 out of 10 and shared, “It was there. We were wanting to eat somewhere close to the fireworks party because it was so hot and we were tired, and they had availability. I thought it can’t be that bad. First, service was great. All the cast members were top notch. The food was extreme meh. Ingredients were very low quality. We didn’t get sick, though, so that’s a plus.”
Another reader rated the restaurant a 6 out of 10 and shared, “Service was good and location is great. However, food was very mediocre. So many other great places to eat in Magic Kingdom. I feel we would have been better off eating at a quick service location and saved a few bucks.”
These reviews are then flanked by other readers who have rated the restaurant a 9 out of 10 like this one who shared, “One of the cheapest sit-down services you can get at Disney. The service was very good and fairly quick. Some of my group loved their food (chicken sandwich), some thought it was average (turkey club), and for some reason one member hated his food (the burger). I thought it was pretty good and a great value. I will most likely be back.”
Another reader rated the restaurant a 9 out of 10 and shared, “We really enjoyed the food and service at the Plaza. The server was so sweet to us and our kids. Even though this is pricier than quick service we felt the value was awesome! We got SO much food! My husband and I were able to easily split a burger and fries. The kid meals come with tons of food! They got their entrees, sides, and even a cute dish of ice cream with Mickey ears. The decorations give it a very Main Street USA feel. Overall a great place to sit down, relax, and get some AC. Love it!”
It does appear that, as of late, people have been having issues with the overall consistency when it comes to the food, and most importantly the lack of a bathroom inside the restaurant, which is understandably a very inconvenient thing to have to deal with.
