Disney, We Don’t Care What Else Happens. We Just Need These Two Announcements in August.

August is going to be the BIGGEST month of the year for Disney fans.

That’s because Disney is hosting D23: The Ultimate Fan Event in Anaheim, California (AKA the home of Disneyland)! Each year, Disney holds a parks and experiences presentation panel and we get some huge news about what the future holds for the theme parks. This year, the events take place from August 9th-11th and we don’t care what else happens — we just need these two announcements. PLEASE, Disney.

On August 10th at 7PM PT, Disney will hold Horizons: D23 Disney Experiences Showcase. We’ve already dug into the concept art and predicted the news that the company will announce…but really we only want two things.

Magic Kingdom Expansion Update

In 2022, Disney let us in on a little secret — Magic Kingdom would be getting an expansion! It started as a “Blue Sky” idea meaning that these were just concepts for the time being and hadn’t been confirmed. Ever since we’ve been dying to know what will come “Beyond Big Thunder Mountain.”

Now, after filing permits, it has been confirmed that an expansion is coming to Magic Kingdom. But what will it be? That’s what we’re still waiting for!

Disney originally teased Coco, Encanto, and Disney Villain lands and released concept art. Since that tease, Disney has kept its cards very close to its chest because we don’t have any new hints on what could come to this new area of the park.

We are hopeful that Disney will confirm some new details about this massive expansion on August 10th. Fingers crossed!

DinoLand USA Replacement News

We’re greedy, so we’re asking for two MAJOR announcements. The next one we want to hear about is the replacement for DinoLand USA!

Also originally introduced in 2022, we now know that DinoLand WILL be replaced. And actually we have a theme — Tropical Americas! Disney confirmed the theme, but not the exact IP that could be included in this area of the park.

We’ve seen Encanto and Indiana Jones touches in concept art, but again, this has not been confirmed. Many fans feel confident about Indiana Jones because the Dinosaur ride uses the same system as Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland.

Encanto would also make a lot of sense now that we know it will be the Tropical Americas! The movie takes place in Colombia.

We’d love confirmation on two things here:

1. The IP that is coming to the land
2. When DinoLand will permanently close.

We have to know how long we have left with the beloved DinoLand!
