I Have Intense Secondhand Embarrassment From These Cringey Disney World Stories

With thousands and thousands of people visiting Disney World parks every day, there are bound to be at least a few embarrassing moments.

We polled some of our team members about cringey Disney World stories they have heard, and we are here to share a few with you!

We are starting over in EPCOT in the queue for Spaceship Earth. One of our team members had a friend that got broken up with while they were in line for Spaceship Earth. We are shocked and we feel so bad for them. We couldn’t imagine how awful that would have been. Hopefully, they at least waited until they were almost on the ride. We guess you get a whole row to yourself at least?

EPCOT

We are staying in EPCOT for our next story. Another team member had a friend who decided to go to EPCOT to celebrate their 21st birthday. Sounds great, that is super common, and many people opt to celebrate their 21st drinking around the world. However, the friend started in the Mexico pavilion and only made it to the Germany pavilion before they ended up throwing up in a trash can and had to leave the park because they felt so bad. A bummer of a way to finish off you 21st birthday.

World Showcase

Along those lines, one of our team members mentioned they also feel secondhand embarrassment watching people who can’t hold their alcohol in EPCOT. From doing stupid things to even getting escorted out of the park, be responsible while you are having fun in EPCOT!

Germany Pavilion

Another story we heard is taking us over to Magic Kingdom and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. One of our team members decided to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad during the rain. It seemed like a great idea until him and his wife got on and it was a complete downpour. They ended up having to cover their entire faces to protect against the hard rain. His wife is still unhappy with him to this day for suggesting they ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad during the rain.

One of our other team members told us a story about meeting Olaf in Disney’s Hollywood Studios when all of a sudden all of the Cast Members except Olaf ran out of the room after one of the Cast Members said something offensive. Olaf was just as confused as our team member was, and they both ended up standing there awkwardly until the Cast Members finally returned.

There are bound to be some great and not so great moments during your Disney World vacation. Be prepared for some things not to go right, but also be ready for a fantastic time exploring all the parks!
