Read THIS Before Trying to Ride Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney World Right Now

Do you love all things Pirates of the Caribbean? (We know we do!) Now has been quite a good time to be a fan of the franchise. We know about a Pirates of the Caribbean Restaurant that’s been announced coming to Magic Kingdom, and a whole theme park to be built in the Caribbean. All of that has us thinking about the OG ride in Magic Kingdom. With the recent string of closures that the ride has been experiencing, we figure have to talk about the best time for you to get on the ride!

As we said, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride has seen its fair share of closures lately, and we know that can affect your trip (especially, if it’s your favorite attraction). So, let’s see if we can pinpoint when would be the best time for you to try to hop on the ride!

We’ve seen a trend as of late in which the ride is temporarily closed each day for an hour or more. The thing to note is that this tends to happen in the morning hours. The next thing to consider is that wait times appear consistently to be the shortest around 7 PM or 8 PM (typically 10 minutes or less).

With all of that in mind, your best chance of getting on the ride in the shortest amount of time might be right at the end of the day.

Also, if you position yourself near Adventureland when watching the fireworks, you can typically get to Pirates pretty quickly and thereby avoid a long wait.

Now, this plan isn’t foolproof. We have seen the ride temporarily close at the most random of times, so waiting until the end of the day may not always work. The best thing you can do is to keep checking the My Disney Experience app as it will keep you informed!
