Traveling to Disney World can be stressful. Between going through security and catching your flight, you already have enough on your plate.
We are not here to add to the stress of air travel, but instead to give you a warning. We do not recommend flying to Disney World at 7AM.
7AM EST is a crucial time at Disney World. Due to it being such an important time, we recommend avoiding being in the air when this time rolls around because you are going to want to have a strong internet connection.
So what happens at 7AM? Each morning at 7AM selections for Disney Genie+ open up, as well as selections for Individual Lightning Lanes. Missing out on these selections could hurt your first day at Disney World.
If you do not know how Disney Genie+ works or need a little refresher, here is a quick lesson on Disney Genie+.
Disney Genie+ is a paid-for service available on the My Disney Experience App. Disney Genie+ offers Lighting Lanes which allows guests to skip the line. This service replaced FastPass+. Guests can make their Lightning Lane selection by choosing the next available time for the attraction that they would like.
When purchasing Genie+, guests can choose between a single-park or a multi-park option. Prices do vary and are subject to availability. Guests also have the option of purchasing Individual Lightning Lanes for attractions that are not included in Genie+. Guests can make two selections a day for Individual Lightning Lane.
When the clock strikes 7AM the day you are planning to use Genie+, you can make your first selection. Guests can also purchase Individual Lightning Lanes at 7AM and join a virtual queue if it is being offered.

If you are not planning to go to the park the day you arrive, then you are in the clear, but if you do plan to go to the park the day of arrival, then we recommend avoiding flying at 7AM.
