Okay, who is SO ready for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to open?

We’ve been keeping track of all the construction and updates on the new ride, which will feature a story that picks up after the events of the animated film The Princess and the Frog. But there’s something VERY thematic that’s missing from Magic Kingdom right now that could make the RIDE perfect. Yes, the SMELL of beignets will be part of the ride, but beignets are now on the MENU at Magic Kingdom.
Tiana’s Beignets have been added to the menu at Magic Kingdom’s Golden Oak Outpost for Disney’s Celebrate Soulfully event, which is how Disney celebrates Black History Month in February. For $6.99, you get four of Tiana’s Famous Beignets served with Strawberry Sauce.

Okay, so now we’re giving you a word of warning. These are NOT traditional beignets, so they’re not like the Mickey Beignets you can get at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. These are more like Croissant Beignets, similar to what was recently added to the menu at Chef Mickey’s.

With that being said, though, these beignets are lightly sweetened and flaky and are delicious in their own way. You get them served warm, and they’re easy to pull apart and dip in the strawberry sauce, which we highly recommend.

Okay, more about that sauce because it reminds us of the Strawberry Soup we’re still waiting to eat again at the (still-closed) 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

However, as we said, if you want a more traditional beignet, you’ll still have to go to Port Orleans — French Quarter Resort. These are worth a try, though, but you’ll have to grab them before they’re gone on March 1st.

Will you be trying these beignets in Magic Kingdom? Let us know in the comments!
These beignets look good. Honestly, when was the last time you ate a beignet at Port Orleans? We bought a huge bag of them last February. The bag weighed ten pounds. They were heavy and greasy and awful. I threw them out. A delicious French beignet does not need dipping sauce. Just a touch of powdered sugar. Back to the drawing board, Disney Chefs
