Staying at a Disney World hotel offers a variety of perks.
First, you get access to Disney World’s extensive transportation system of buses, the Monorail, the Skyliner, and boats to take you all over the resort. You also get to use Early Theme Park Entry. However, only select folks who stay at Disney World resorts have access to Disney’s Extended Evening Hours — and those hours are about to get extended at Magic Kingdom again.
We haven’t seen Extended Evening Hours in Magic Kingdom for a while — mostly because those late-night park hours are reserved for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party right now. Also, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be coming up soon, but once the holidays are over, Extended Evening Hours will return to the park!
Extended Evening Hours is just what it sounds like: select Disney World visitors get to play in the parks later than everyone else. You may experience shorter lines and fewer crowds.
We took a look at the Disney World calendar, and Magic Kingdom’s Extended Evening Hours will return on January 3rd, 2024 from 9PM to 11PM. However, note that ONLY guests staying at Disney World deluxe resorts, The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green will be able to take advantage of extra evening time in the park.
So, there’s another good reason to book a deluxe hotel for your 2024 trip. You’ll also have even more to look forward to in 2024: park pass reservations will no longer be required for most visitors, park hopping is returning to normal, and the Disney Dining Plan is returning. It’s going to be a BIG year for Disney World!
