Surprise! The NEW Moana Meet and Greet Debuts EARLY in EPCOT

Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana is doing a soft opening! 

After Cast Member, Annual Passholder, and DVC member previews, everyone will be able to experience the newest EPCOT attraction. In September, it was also announced that there will be a new Moana meet and greet coming to the attraction as well. Now, we are seeing that Moana will also be meeting guests in EPCOT early!

While it was announced on October 5th that Journey of Water would have a soft opening before its official opening date of October 16th, we just learned that Moana’s meet and greet also soft opened.

Our reporter on October 6th was at EPCOT and got a closer look at what the meet and greet looked like. Check out the sign featuring the times you can meet Moana. It looks like she will meet with guests at 9AM, 10:15AM, 11:30 AM and 1:30PM, 2:30PM, and 3:45 PM.

We weren’t the only ones excited to meet her. A line has already started to form to meet the voyager. However, we only waited about 5 minutes since we headed straight there at rope drop.

After the short wait, there she was! She’s just as amazing as we knew she was.

We are so excited that you can meet Moana in TWO Disney World parks now. The first location opened in April at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, making this EPCOT location the second chance you can meet her.

The meet and greet location is themed similar to the Journey of Water including a shade cover above and the woven lights. The meet and greet is located to the left of Journey of Water, however, you will get in line by Spaceship Earth.
