WARNING: This Bathroom Change Might Impact Your EPCOT Trip

Disney World has no shortage of bathrooms.

So if you’re running around World Showcase, you shouldn’t have a problem finding one. Of course, some are better than others (hello, American Adventure bathrooms). We usually don’t have any issues, except recently, something weird happened when we were looking for a bathroom in World Showcase.

So we were near the U.K. Pavilion, so we thought we’d stop and use the bathrooms there. Except…those bathrooms were closed. Okay, no problem.

However, a Cast Member told us that the closest bathrooms were at World Showplace. There was just one problem with that — World Showplace has been CLOSED for a while. But we went ahead and headed over in that direction. We saw signs pointing to restrooms, as well.

Sure enough, when we got to World Showplace, which has been blocked off, the gate was OPEN, and we got to go inside for the first time in FOREVER.

However, most of World Showplace was still closed and we saw signs that indicated that most areas were restricted to Cast Members only.

It was a bit of a hike to get to the restrooms in World Showplace, but they were open, just like we were told. It’s unclear if they’ve been open for a while, or if they were just opened while the U.K. bathrooms are closed.

So if you’re visiting EPCOT and see that some bathrooms are closed, you might want to ask a Cast Member where the closest bathrooms are — it might be somewhere that will surprise you, like in an area that is usually closed.
