We’ve seen some BIG updates with all things Universal lately.

Universal Studios Orlando

From construction news on Epic Universe — the new theme park coming to Universal Studios Florida — to word of a year-round horror destination coming to Las Vegas, Universal has given us a ton to look forward to.  Recently, they even shared plans for a new family-focused theme park coming to Texas, and we’ve uncovered some brand new details to give you a taste of what to expect. Come see what we found!

Earlier this month, we did some sleuthing on the concept art to make some predictions about what we mind find at this Dallas area theme park. We already know that it will be on 94 acres of land in Frisco, Texas; have rides, shows, and a hotel; and that there will be character meet-and-greets. But recently, a traffic impact analysis report was filed and in it were some details about whats to come!

In the report, we see the proposed site of the park is located on the east side of Dallas North Tollway, between Panther Creek Parkway and Fields Parkway.

It also revealed that they anticipate an average of 7,500 visitors a day, and up to 20,000 visitors on the highest day.

In the plans, there is a main gate access point at the intersection of Frisco Street and Fields Parkway, with approximately 4,400 feet of space between the 8 vehicle entry gates, which is enough room for 195 vehicles to queue before reaching the street.

There are plans include a second gate, which will allow for the 600-room hotel as well as a possibility for more theme park space or another attraction like a water park!

This picture below shows what traffic would look like for each section. The red and blue lines signify the route guests would take around the park to reach the parking area. The green lines represent where hotel guests would enter and the pink lines are where employees would enter.

The report assumes the peak hour for guests arriving at the park is 9-10AM, suggesting a typical opening hour of 10AM, and peak departures times are 5-6PM on weekdays and 7-8PM on weekends.
