It’s the week of Thanksgiving and you know what that means — Disney World is full of people.

Although park pass reservations have been pretty open overall, this is a holiday week making it one of the busiest times of year. High crowd levels can also lead to higher prices on things like park tickets and Genie+, and today, we’re seeing Genie+ at the highest price yet.
As of today, November 21st, Genie+ costs $29 per person. Genie+ used to be a set price of $15, but in October of this year, Disney introduced flexible pricing for the service depending on the day. The highest number we’ve seen before this in Disney World was $22 per person per day.

The price increase today has also impacted rides with the Individual Lightning Lane option (where you buy entry to one ride’s Lightning Lane). Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is at $25 per person today.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT costs $17 per person today.

Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Avatar Flight of Passage costs $16 per person.

In Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is $12 per person making it the cheapest option.

We expect Genie+ prices to remain high this week since it is a holiday week and the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays starts on Friday. We’ll be on the lookout for the price to change and will let you know about any updates. In the meantime, read up on the recent change in CEOs as Bob Chapek steps down and Bob Iger takes over the position.
Here’s everything you need to know about Genie+ in Disney World
Would you purchase Genie+ for $29? Let us know in the comments.

I remember buying our DVC points and being told Disney will never charge extra for rides. Now I can not even book,y point for a week there when we get time to go . just 10 years ago with the year-long pass, it was cheaper to just book 5 days on a Monday leave Thursday the same week then going to Toronto for a weekend as all we needed was fights and food.
Not today I have try to get when I need since June and there nothing and even if I stayed some where else I would not be able to get in the park the magic is going Disney needs to wake up
The sales tax isn’t optional, making the cost of a $29 Genie+ actually $31 and change. While Disney may have to (or pretends to have to) state prices without tax and in doing so deliberately understates the cost of almost everything to the consumer, AllEars doesn’t have to follow suit – it can tell the truth, so please do.
Don’t understand why anyone would pay for this feature, total waste of money. Stop being in such a hurry when visiting WDW.
Just back from weekend at Disney. All of these up charges are really starting to turn me against Disney and I love the place. $29 for Genie+ which isn’t even close to as good as free FastPass was? $25 additional for a single ride? No more magical express, no more free parking at resorts or at parks for value resort guests? They are pricing most people out of the market. And only 1/2 hr early entry now? The crowds this weekend were horrific. Lines at Hollywood Studios were all 90-120 minutes most of the day.
