Here at AllEars, we’ve got some HOT takes about Disney World.

We’ve got our lists of favorite restaurants, must-see entertainment, can’t-miss events, and of course, our favorite souvenirs (we’re partial to a stylish pair of Minnie ears — it’s in the name!). However, one thing that we’re really passionate about? The RIDES. And today, we’re sharing Quincy’s hot takes on Magic Kingdom rides and attractions!
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor
Let’s start this shindig out with Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, a 10-minute show in Tomorrowland that takes you into Monstropolis from Pixar’s Monsters Inc. Quincy describes this show as a “delight” and says that it has infinite redo potential. (Also, she cried the last time she was there.)

And ya know what, she’s definitely not wrong! Because this show has a lot of audience participation, you can do it over and over and over again and get different results and new laughs every time.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Next door in Tomorrowland, you’ll find Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, which Quincy lovingly dubs “the worst shooter ride in all of Disney World and Universal Orlando.” Umm…what?!

But when you put it up against the other options, things like Toy Story Mania and Men in Black Alien Attack…it’s definitely falling flat. How is it that we ALWAYS manage to lose track of our laser on this ride?!
Space Mountain
What are Quincy’s thoughts on Space Mountain? Well, she thinks it’s fine but a little overhyped. In her mind, the cool architecture of the building itself is the best part.

We’ll be real with you here — Space Mountain certainly isn’t the comfiest or smoothest roller coaster in Disney World, and it’s nowhere near the fastest. It’s definitely a classic, but some people don’t love being slammed against the sides of a rocket in the dark, and we can’t really blame them for that. ?
The Barnstormer
Moving on to Storybook Circus, The Barnstormer got a pretty solid review from Q! She said it’s “maybe the best ‘first’ coaster for kids anywhere” and we have to agree.

It’s smooth, short, and has a fun theme. It’s just long enough to let your kiddo dip their toes in the water and not too intimidating, plus the wait time is almost always short. Wins all around.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
We can all likely agree that The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is an absolutely adorable dark ride and a must-try for families with little ones or Pooh fans in general. When should you ride it? Quincy has some thoughts.

She believes the absolute best time to do this ride is at night, and she doesn’t have any specific reason, but it honestly just IS better in the dark. Trust us, we don’t know how to explain it, but it’s true.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Now it’s time for the one we’ve all been waiting for — Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! This ride is one of the most popular at Magic Kingdom, with excessively long lines most of the time. But is it worth it? Quincy says that the coaster itself is “way too short to ever be worth the wait” or the splurge for a Lightning Lane.

In her mind, the best parts of the ride are the dwarfs’ mine and the cottage at the end. If you want to see those things, try and hop in line when it’s shorter — like during Early Theme Park Entry or at the end of the night.
Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid
Journey of the Little Mermaid is certainly an interesting ride, featuring some classic Disney songs, but also some odd-looking animatronics. (Have you ever noticed how disproportionate King Triton’s hands look?!) And Quincy thinks that Ariel deserved better.

Why? Well, for one thing, they left out the most climactic scene of the ride. You skip straight from “Kiss the Girl” to the happy ending, and it doesn’t make much sense.
Mickey’s Philharmagic
Which attraction got a rave review from Quincy? Mickey’s Philharmagic! She described it as the “perfect Disney World show” because it’s immersive and it doesn’t take too much of your time.

Also, it definitely doesn’t hurt that there’s an awesome Coco scene — Quincy is ALWAYS down for more Coco in the parks!
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
According to Quincy, the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is definitely underhyped. Why? Because it’s the most historical ride in Disney World!

If you didn’t know, the Carrousel is the oldest ride in the park, built in 1917 by the Pennsylvania Toboggan Co. It started out as the Liberty Carrousel at Belle Isle Park in Detroit, Michigan, but came to Magic Kingdom and has been there since opening day in 1971.
Haunted Mansion
Haunted Mansion is sometimes thought of as a somewhat “silly” version of a haunted house, but in Quincy’s opinion, it can be pretty scary if you’re stuck in the wrong spot. Namely, in the attic with the scary murder bride, Constance.

The first half of the attraction is actually pretty spooky, but the second half (once you get to the graveyard) is fun and silly. The reason behind this is simple — the two Imagineers who worked on the ride (Claude Coats and Marc Davis) disagreed on whether it should be funny or spooky. In the end, they compromised and made it half and half!
Country Bear Jamboree
Are you a Country Bear Jamboree lover or hater? Fans are pretty divided on this show, but Quincy thinks it’s an absolute DELIGHT.

She finds the show to be both hilarious and entertaining, a true underrated gem. We know some might disagree, but the heart wants what it wants, people.
Tom Sawyer Island
According to Quincy, Tom Sawyer Island is in desperate need of a retheme, but it’s VERY cool to have a free-roaming space like that in the middle of a theme park.

If you’ve never taken the rafts across the Rivers of America, we encourage you to check it out on your next visit. There are caves to explore, bridges to wander across, and plenty of fun hidden details to check out — and so many people don’t even know it’s there!
Splash Mountain
Splash Mountain is Quincy’s FAVORITE ride based on the ride system itself, but she’s so incredibly excited for the Tiana retheme that’s coming soon.

The popular log flume ride is set to be refurbished into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on both coasts and will be complete by the end of 2024. We can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s finished!
Pirates of the Caribbean
Remember back when Pirates of the Caribbean had specific additions for new movies that were coming out? Quincy thinks that was the superior version of the ride.

In particular, she named the Davy Jones mist screens as something she wants to return to the attraction. Come on, Disney World — we all know the Disneyland version is better and we need SOMETHING!
Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Finally, we’ve got Magic Carpets of Aladdin, which Q described as “the WORST Dumbo-style ride.” She asks the important question — why must we bake in the sun to ride this?!

However, if you skip this ride during the daytime and come back at night, you’ll get some pretty cool nighttime views of Adventureland. If you don’t like standing in line in the Florida heat (who does?!), try that instead.
That’s a wrap on Quincy’s thoughts on Magic Kingdom rides! Do you want more ride thoughts from our team? Make sure to leave us a comment and let us know!

And whatever happened to Molly?
Hi Jerry. Molly let us know that she was eager to move forward with some personal projects. We worked together to find a solution but ultimately she decided that she couldn’t do both. We’ll miss her so much, and we’re excited to see her next steps!
Thank you
And I certainly like Quinn and Emma and Miranda etc.
