See How the Magic Kingdom Rides CHANGE During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

The holiday season is officially here because Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has arrived at Disney World! We’ve been trying out all kinds of tasty treats, watching the Christmastime parade, and meeting characters around the park.

The party has started!

One of the biggest benefits of going to these hard-ticketed events in Disney World is that there are fewer people in the parks, which means shorter wait times at popular rides. And some of those rides get special holiday overlays during the party — let’s go check them out!

If you’re going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, get ready to see some Magic Kingdom rides as you’ve never seen them before. Here’s a list of all the holiday overlays we spotted during the first night of the party.

Jingle Cruise

Jungle Cruise in Adventureland becomes Jingle Cruise, and this holiday overlay is available both during the party and during normal park hours.

Jingle Cruise!

You can hop on the cruise to see holiday decorations throughout the entire ride, and listen for holiday-themed jokes from the skippers, too!

Space Mountain

Space Mountain takes on a holiday theme as well!

We saw some red and green lights outside, along with snowflake projections on the ride.

Mad Tea Party

Over in Fantasyland, the Mad Tea Party got festive for the occasion.

There were red and green lights, and holiday music was playing.

Tomorrowland Speedway

One of the best (and most underrated) overlays is at the Tomorrowland Speedway.

There are Christmas trees, lights, gifts, and other decorations all along the race track.

Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor

For lots of holiday-themed puns and jokes, head to Tomorrowland and visit Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.

Don’t forget to stop by.

Disney has announced that “the crew at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is filling their laugh canisters with some holiday cheer.” This overlay is only available during the party!

Haunted Mansion

Although the iconic Haunted Mansion is the same ride inside, it got dressed up with red and green lights projected onto the front.
