Kona Cafe Has Reopened EARLY in Disney World!

Big news at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

No, it’s not a big update on the DVC Villas being built — those still have a while to go, but we are keeping an eye on them. In June it was announced that Kona Cafe would temporarily close for refurbishment in the resort, but its reopening is finally here!

At the beginning of this month, Disney announced the restaurant would reopen on November 1st with an “enhanced table-service experience,” and reservations started becoming available, but it has opened two days early!

There it is!

Reservations are required to dine at the restaurant, and we suggest you grab them sooner rather than later because they can fill up quickly. As Kona Cafe is usually open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you can look for reservation times all throughout the day. However, it’s a little different for these next two days before the official reopening.

We spoke to a Cast Member who said Kona Cafe plans to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner today and tomorrow, but noted that there may not be continuous food service until the official opening on Tuesday when each meal will absolutely be served. The restaurant described this early reopening as a special surprise for guests, which is why it’s not guaranteed that each meal will be served until Tuesday.

We can’t wait to dine here!

If you’re traveling to the parks soon, be sure you’re caught up with the recent menu changes and price increases. Disney menus and restaurant offerings change frequently, so stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest news and updates!
