Oh, Kona Cafe, how we’ve missed you… .
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is known for many things and one of them is food! There are so many iconic places to eat including ‘Ohana (which just brought back its character breakfast), and Pineapple Lanai which serves Dole Whip. But Kona Cafe has been closed for refurbishment for a while now, and we finally have an exact reopening date!
According to the Disney World website, Kona Cafe will reopen on November 1st, 2022. We knew the restaurant would reopen sometime this fall and hours started showing for November 1st last week.
Not only that, but reservations are now open for Kona Cafe! We checked for availability on its new reopening date and there were plenty of times available.
If you want to dine at Kona Cafe, grab a reservation NOW! Dining reservations can go quickly, so you’ll want to snag one as soon as possible.
In the meantime, you can still order food to-go from the restaurant by scanning the QR code on the construction walls.
To make a dining reservation, head to the My Disney Experience app or the Disney World website. From there, you can browse restaurants and choose the ones you would like to dine at.
You can start making dining reservations 60 days before your trip — we recommend setting an alarm for around 5AM EST to grab those hard-to-get reservations. Yes, they really will fill up in a matter of minutes depending on the restaurant!
