U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds to Fly Over Disney World This Week

November is National Veterans and Military Families month.

Keep an eye on the skies this Thursday!

And if you’ll be visiting the parks this week, you’ll want to look to the sky for something very special!

Disney World is welcoming the U.S. Airforce’s Thunderbirds to the airspace above the resort this Thursday, October 26th. According to the Orlando Sentinel, the display is set to begin at 9:30AM as long as the weather permits.

U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds

The Thunderbirds are a specialty group that showcases the pride, precision, and professionalism of the United States Airforce. We have seen them present at Walt Disney World before, and this year they’ve been welcomed back for another amazing flyover to honor veterans, including Walt Disney himself as well as his brother Roy Disney, who both served in the military during World War I.

Disney is continuing this tradition from prior years

The Thunderbirds are planning to complete two passes above Magic Kingdom before finishing off with their delta maneuver, with each plane shooting off in different directions in an impressive conclusion to the display. If you will be in the parks this Thursday morning, keep your eye on the sky!
