When you come to Orlando, the Disney magic starts before you even enter the theme parks!
If you’re flying into Orlando International Airport, you’ll find a big Disney merchandise store and some Disney decor. If you’re driving to Disney World, there are billboards and signs all around the Orlando area. But did you know about the GIANT video screen coming to an Orlando parking garage? Well, there’s a store attached to the same building and it’s opening TODAY!
The giant screen is located outside of the Hollywood Plaza parking garage near International Drive in Orlando. It features the golden 50th anniversary statues of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and more!
On the bottom floor of the parking garage is the brand new Walt Disney World Store! Disney previously announced that the store will feature not only ticket and merchandise sales but the first-ever interactive Disney Vacation Club Virtual Discovery Station. So, let’s go check it out!
It’s so exciting to see a new Disney store open in the Orlando area! Last year, Disney closed a majority of their in-person Disney stores to focus on their online merchandise, including the original Disney store in California. Although guests can shop online at shopDisney, it’s just not the same as walking through a store.

Outside the store are big displays of Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom…
…and Spaceship Earth in EPCOT.
Inside, you’ll find lots of merchandise, including apparel, home goods, toys, and more. If you’ve ever been to a Disney store, it’ll probably look somewhat familiar.
We spotted Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars merchandise…
…as well as home goods and snacks, too. You can use your Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club discounts in the store, too!
Basically, there’s a LOT to see! You might want to hide your wallet if you visit.

As we noted above, you can also visit the first-ever Disney Vacation Club Virtual Discovery Station in the store! This kiosk is located in a special room.
At the DVC kiosk, you can virtually tour DVC rooms at four different resorts, including Riviera Resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Aulani.
You can tour a variety of DVC room sizes and the images you’re viewing are essentially projected around you, so it feels far more immersive than just looking at a screen.

You can also buy tickets at the store! Cast Members there will help you with reservations and walk you through everything you need to do for your visit. They can also help with dining reservations and answer basic questions.

Question….you stated that they will give discounts for annual Passholders and DVC members. But, since this is a Disney Store, not on property, will they also give discounts to Magic Key Hojders ?
Talk about overhyped. Went in today and although the staff were knowledgeable and friendly, the store itself had a very small selection of merchandise and the “interactive” experience was nothing more than a touch screen computer.
