UPDATE: Radiator Springs Racers reopened to guests on June 3rd, 2022 after the temporary closure related to the technical difficulties noted below.
Disneyland and Disney California Adventure are both popular parks with many beloved restaurants, snacks, and experiences.
Before Avengers Campus opened, Cars Land (a.k.a. Radiator Springs), was one of the most highly-themed areas of the park featuring a ride that takes EPCOT’s Test Track to the next level — Radiator Springs Racers. But, if you’re hoping to hop on this ride over Memorial Day Weekend, you might be out of luck.
According to The Orange County Register, Radiator Springs Racers will be closed indefinitely after initially going down for technical difficulties on Wednesday, May 25th.
The closure is reportedly related to a ride vehicle that was seen smoking after it crossed the finish line on Tuesday.
A Disney spokesperson did confirm that there is an issue with one singular vehicle and that the ride will remain closed indefinitely out of an abundance of caution. Guests visiting the park this weekend may see the attraction testing but it likely won’t be open to ride.
