The Disney World Resorts sure know how to cook up a delicious meal!
One of our favorite resorts to eat at is Disney’s Animal Kingdom Loge! Jiko and Sanaa both serve up some seriously delicious food, and we recently found out that the Sanaa menu is getting an upgrade! We tried all of the new foods and some updated dishes at Sanaa, and here’s what we found!
Let’s jump right into all of the new foods! First is the Lamb Kefta, a Char-grilled Ground Lamb with Tunisian Couscous Salad and Ginger-Pear Chutney.
There’s also now a new option for the Potjie Inspired dish. It’s Pork Vindaloo, which has  paprika, garlic, tomato, vinegar, and a house-made spice blend. It’s $30. As with the other Potjie Inspired options, you get a choice of Rajma Masala, Chickpea Wat, Sukumi Wiki, or Lentil Daal. It’s also served with Scented Basmati Rice.
Be warned, though — this pork is very spicy, so if you’re adverse to spicy foods, keep that in mind! If spicy food is your thing, though, this is a delicious option.
The Sukumi Wiki is a new side available with the Potjie Inspired, so we ordered that. It has Collard Greens, Tomatoes, Onions, and spices. This is not your usual southern collard greens, but more like a yummy stew.
Next, we tried the Zanzibari Vegetable Curry for $22! This has Seasonal Vegetables, Fragrant Rice, and a blend of Cloves, Cinnamon, and Black Pepper. It’s available now for $22. You can also get it with Chicken for $25 or Shrimp for $28. The portion size is huge, and it is well-seasoned with just the right amount of kick.
The Samaki Wa Kupaka is white fish with a marinade of traditional Swahili cuisine, mango, and turmeric, and tamarind-infused coconut gravy. You can try it now for $32. The fish is flaky and flavorful without tasting too fishy. As a whole, this is another win in our book.
The last thing we tried is an exclusive dinner option. We tried the Pork Shank, which is Braised Pork, Chermoula-spiced Black-eyed Peas, and Pickled Mustard. Its price is $28. This is our favorite of the new items — the pork is very tender, and the black-eye peas have just the right amount of seasoning.
Note that the Grilled New York Strip for $36 has also returned to the menu, but has been updated with green peas, corn, and spinach, as well as harvest vegetables, herb emulsion, and fig sauce.
That’s everything we tried at Sanaa, stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney updates!
