If there’s one thing that’s for certain, it’s that we love being able to bring you news about Disney World.
And we especially love bringing you news about Disney World food! Disney just announced some rather exciting menu changes at one of our absolute favorite restaurants on property, so let’s dig in and see what’s new!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is an absolutely breathtaking resort themed after the African Savanna, complete with its very own version of the Savanna.
Not only that, but it’s home to multiple fan-favorite restaurants — Jiko and Sanaa. Disney just announced Chef Sahib and his team are revamping the lunch and dinner menus over at Sanaa and gave us a look at what we can expect.
For the meat-eaters, the Pork Vindaloo is cooked with paprika, garlic, tomato, vinegar, and a house-made spice blend.
The chef is introducing multiple plant-based options to the “Harvest” like the Lentil Daal, which we’ve previously seen on the menu as “Lentil Dhal”, but is made with yellow lentils and cooked in fragrant spices.
The Sukuma Wiki is a plant-based offering that was originally served on the menu alongside the Sustainable Fish dinner dish. It’s made with collard greens, tomatoes, onions, and tons of spice for a warm flavor.
Paired with the Sukuma Wiki is rajma masala, red kidney beans, and a delicious spice blend combined with onions, tomatoes, and garam masala and braised until tender.
The Zanzibari Vegetable Curry features seasonal vegetables, fragrant rice, and a mouthwatering blend of cloves, cinnamon, and black pepper. Chef Sahib is also adding a new fish dish to the menu — Samaki Wa Kupaka. It’s a white fish with a marinade of traditional Swahili cuisine, mango, and turmeric, and topped with a tangy tamarind-infused coconut gravy.
For exclusively dinner options, the Pork Shank “goes through a long braise process with flavors of cloves, nutmeg, and allspice” and is paired with black-eyed peas. The Grilled New York Strip has been on the menu but has been updated with green peas, corn, and spinach, as well as harvest vegetables, herb emulsion, and fig sauce.
We don’t know about you, but we’ll be heading over to Sanaa faster than cheetahs on the African Savanna to try these new dishes. For more Disney food news, be sure to stay tuned to AllEars.

I’m having problems more and more finding good food I caneat! Can’t have spicy…meaning no cayenne, black pepper, poblano, chile , cumin, onion etc which means most of the menu if not all is out of possibility for me. Not going to Disney to just eat salads….I can do that at home….cheaper
