Several Disney World hotels are going through some major changes!

We’ve already seen big-scale room makeovers at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and the BoardWalk Inn is next on the list of refurbishments. However, the Grand Floridian is currently getting some renovations, and we just got a possible opening date for the new DVC rooms!
Currently, the Big Pine Key building is getting turned into 200 new Resort Studios, an all-new Disney Vacation Club room type that is exclusive to the Grand Floridian. DVC Members were able to book these rooms starting a few weeks ago, but they don’t become available for booking to the general public until March 31st.

Today, we spoke with a Cast Member through the chat feature on the Disney Vacation Club website about booking one of these rooms. Previously, we knew that they’d be opening sometime in June, but during our conversation with the Cast Member, we were told that they can booked for dates starting on June 20th.

Currently, Disney World’s website still lists the opening date as “late June.” We should get more details as soon as booking opens to regular guests at the end of this month.

Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest updates from Disney World, including all the refurbishments and construction news!
