For millions of guests traveling to Central Florida, flying into MCO, the Orlando International Airport, is the way to go!
The airport is filled with tons of visitors daily, including many coming to the theme parks like Disney World and Universal Orlando. And soon, MCO is getting a big expansion!
We already knew that the Orlando airport was working on building a Terminal C, but now we know when the project is set to be complete…July 2022! Currently, it’s 87% complete, so we’re getting really close.
We can’t wait to C what the future holds! Our new Terminal C is now 87% complete and opening date to the public is projected for July 2022. 🏗️ Latest announcement from yesterday’s Board meeting also highlights the candidates in the run to be our next CEO: https://t.co/FcBftZbt8z pic.twitter.com/m2JKExPdQi

When the terminal is complete, there will be several exciting new additions. A fan-favorite Disney World restaurant, Wine Bar George, will be getting over 1000 square feet of retail space. In addition, Chef Art Smith (who owns Homecomin’ at Disney Springs) is getting his own restaurant in the terminal called Sunshine Diner. And if that’s not enough, another The Polite Pig location is coming here as well!
Basically, we’re going to have all of our favorite Disney foods here soon, and we can’t wait! We’ll keep you updated on the progress of this new area.
