VIDEO: First Look at Disney KiteTails Show Coming to Animal Kingdom

There is so much excitement to look forward to as part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!

We’ll be getting a new ride, new restaurants, new fireworks shows, and so much more. Also, we’re getting a brand-new daytime show at Animal Kingdom called Disney KiteTails, and today we got a sneak peek!

Disney KiteTails will premiere on October 1st and will have shows several times a day in the Discovery River Theater (where Rivers of Light used to show at night). The performance will feature a variety of colorful animal kites from beloved Disney films, some up to 30 feet in length!

In the theater, you’ll be joined by performers with oversized props made to look like friends from The Little Mermaid, A Bug’s Life, and Finding Nemo. Out on the water, you’ll spot watercraft pulling gigantic kite trains and 3-D kites from The Lion King and The Jungle Book. Disney shared a look at some of these kites and props in action in this video:

The show will include a soundtrack of worldbeat arrangements of Disney tunes to go along with the kites and props. We can’t wait to check it out!
