Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a GREAT place to stay on Disney World’s property as the Skyliner Resort has plenty of things to offer to every guest (hidden details included)!

Before you begin to plan your next stay at a resort, you might want to rethink your favorite hotel in favor of one of the Art of Animation’s family suites! And, we’re taking you with us to the Pride Lands for a tour of the Lion King-themed rooms on property!
The Lion King Family Suites aren’t only going to be a hit for your kids…we bet even the grown-ups will love them! The master bedroom has a cozy bed that you can kick back and relax on after a long day in the parks…

…with Zazu chilling out on the headboard.

Bedside tables are located on either side of the bed with lamps and drawers, where you can find a Bible for usage and a phone in case you need to call the front desk.

Guests can also tune into their favorite Disney shows and movies as they relax in bed…

…and charge their devices on top of the dresser.

The drawers have plenty of space, so you can unpack your suitcase and make Disney’s Art of Animation home for your vacation!

Guests can also use the provided luggage rack, if they prefer, or hang their clothes up.

The master bathroom that connects to the bedroom also has African flair with a mirror surrounded by greenery.

Below the sink, guests can find a trashcan and hairdryer to use…

…with the towel rack hanging right above the toilet to use after washing their hands, taking a shower, and more.

Speaking of the shower, the tile is arranged like the GORGEOUS sunrise featured at the beginning of the Lion King!

Reusable toiletries are hanging on the wall with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, as Disney continues to lean more towards sustainable efforts.

Outside the main bedroom, there’s a dining table complete with leaf-shaped chairs, so you can enjoy a meal to-go or a late-night snack together.

But, the headboard area next to the table can also be pulled down to reveal a double bed for members of your party to use!

There’s also a living room area for guests to kick back and relax…

…as giraffes from the “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” sequence welcome people from all around the Circle of Life.

The sofa also pulls out as another double bed, bringing the suite’s tally up to three spots to sleep, or six guests!

A flower lamp next to the sofa can be used as a reading light before you hit the hay, while another phone is available for your convenience.

The floral patterned curtains can be left open for a view of the Art of Animation property or closed for privacy.

A kitchenette is located in the living room area with a sink, mini fridge…

…microwave, cups…

…and even a coffee machine with different coffee and tea options!

A trash and recycling bin is in between the couch and the kitchenette within a short reach.

Guests sitting or sleeping in the living room also have access to a television…

…and drawers so they can place all their clothes and souvenirs aside comfortably.

A mini closet area is also available with hangers, a shoe area…

…and extra pillows, sheets, and blankets.

Right off to the side of the living room, the bathroom looks similar to the master one. But, the only major difference is that this bathroom has a Timon and Pumbaa shower curtain, instead of a sliding glass door shower!

The Lion King Family Suites can start as low as $419 per night as they sleep 6 people (additional children under 3 can also be accommodated). And, if you break down the numbers, that means that each member of the party can stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort for around $70 at the lowest cost. The suites are a great choice for larger parties, as the resort also connects directly to the Skyliner to travel to other parks, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios yet has a much lower price point than other accommodations that can house that many guests.

Guests can also choose to be assigned their family suite upon check-in, so they may be placed in the Cars or Finding Nemo versions of the rooms. Don’t have as many guests but still interested in the resort? Instead, you might want to opt for The Little Mermaid Standard Room at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort for a cheaper cost and less beds.

Whatever room you pick, we have to say that the Art of Animation is an great choice for visitors of all ages with the hotel’s fantastic amenities, pools, transportation, and more! And, you can stay tuned with All Ears for the latest Disney Entertainment and news!

Port Orleans, French Quarter has always been my favorite resort. It is quiet and has several garden spots to just sit. The boat to Downtown Disney (that is the name I’ll always remember & use) is right there by some of the buildings (water view rooms). I love staying in a room overlooking the Sassagoula River. And, of course, the Po’Boy sandwich & Beignets!!! Lots of activities to partake.
However, the last time I was there, it was not all peaches & cream. I had a really lousy mattress, mousekeeping was little to none, and the toilet paper was thinner than tissue paper!!! That was in 2021. We also could not find 50th Anniversary items: picture frames, mugs, Eyeore dressed in Christmas clothes, magnets. We went to many stores, the aisles were widened because there were so few shelves w/ items to sell. I know it was shortly after they reopened due to COVID. But the resort issues should not have anything to do w/ COVID.
But I will return to WDW just not staying at Port Orleans.
