Disney World Adds Standby Wording to Wait Times

A lot has been changing around the parks at Disney World!

Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park

In the past month, Disney has relaxed its face mask policy, and we’ve started to see some physical distancing measures reduced both in attraction lines and ride vehicles. But, there are still quite a few different things that have yet to return to the parks (like FastPass+ and fireworks). Though, a recent update may indicate that this could be changing soon.

Today we noticed that there was a minor adjustment to the wait times on the My Disney Experience app and now attraction wait times are listed as “–Minute Standby Wait.”

This language is slightly different from what we’re used to seeing in the app, as the “Standby” term was not included previously.

In the past, each Disney attraction has had a Standby Line and a FastPass Line, so this could indicate that Disney is planning to bring back the FastPasses option. That being said, we do see minor adjustments in the app from time to time in an effort to make the app more useful to guests. So, this could just be an improvement that has nothing to do with FastPass+.
