What You Should Get at Each Magic Kingdom Table Service Restaurant

There are a few different table Service restaurants in Magic Kingdom, each with its own unique theming and special dishes. Maybe you’ve never eaten at any of them. Or maybe you’ve tried some, and you’ll be trying something new during your next trip. Whatever the case, you may be wondering what should you get from each of these Table Service restaurants when you’re in Magic Kingdom.

Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom

What’s the very BEST thing you could grab at Be Our Guest Restaurant? What options should you choose from the menu at Cinderella’s Royal Table? Today we’re breaking it all down right here!

For now, we kept our recommendations limited to those Table Service restaurants in the park that are open.

Also, keep in mind these suggestions are based on our previous meals at these restaurants. Your taste buds may differ greatly as compared to ours, and your favorites may be totally different (we’d love to hear all about that in the comments below)! But these are some of our team’s favorite dishes from each of Magic Kingdom’s Table Service spots.

Be Our Guest Restaurant

Be Our Guest Restaurant is currently serving up a prix fixe menu for lunch and dinner for $62 for adults. As part of that menu, you’ll have a number of choices from which to choose. High on the list of our recommendations for your appetizer is the French Onion Soup featuring a Toasted Crouton, Gruyère, and Provolone.

Just Look At All That Cheese!

This soup has been a long-time favorite of ours. It’s got oodles of melty cheese, lots of onions, and a tasty broth. Overall, it’s a total win!

In terms of a main entree, we have found the Center-cut Filet Mignon with Robuchon Yukon potatoes, seasonal vegetables, cipollini marmalade, and a red wine glaze to be quite good. The marmalade in particular is packed with flavor.

Anyone Up for Some Steak?

It can be heavy in the middle of a park day, though, so just keep that in mind!

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Like Be Our Guest, Cinderella’s Royal Table is also serving a set menu now for lunch and dinner for $62 per adult with a few selections in each category (appetizer, entree, and dessert).

We’d recommend you grab the Castle Salad to start with. This salad is made of hearty mixed greens, toasted pumpkin seeds, Riesling-marinated golden raisins, Pink Lady apples, and maple-balsamic vinaigrette.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

The dressing has a wonderful mix of sweet and tangy flavors, and the raisins add a pop of sweetness. You’ll also get a nice crunch from the pumpkin seeds and an added sense of freshness from the sliced apples.

In terms of entrees, we haven’t been blown away by the entrees we’ve tried here. We’ve had the Roasted All Natural Chicken Breast and Tenderloin of Beef. Both were good, but not necessarily worth the $62. You may want to opt for the chicken here, though, and grab a steak at one of the other Signature restaurants in Disney World.

Roasted Chicken Entree

The Roasted All Natural Chicken Breast is a pan-roasted chicken served with fingerling potatoes with haricot verts and spinach in a leek-mustard cream sauce. The chicken was juicy on the outside with a great crispiness on the outside. Overall, the dish had some rich and wonderfully salty flavors. It was good, but again not necessarily worth the $62.

When it comes to dessert, The Clock Strikes Twelve is definitely the most Instagrammable item and would probably get our pick. This dish is made with a Dark Chocolate Mousse with a Caramel and Crunchy Praline Center, served with Chocolate Sauce and Hazelnut Gelato. But we also really enjoyed the Jaq & Gus — the cheesecake with seasonal flavors and garnishes.

Jaq & Gus Cheesecake — It’s Basically a Deconstructed Cheesecake!

When we went, the seasonal flavor was pumpkin, but you’ll have to check what’s available when you go!

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace is serving up a meal with shared starters, one entree per person, and shared desserts for $39 for adults. We absolutely loved the marinated watermelon and tomato salad. It seems that has now been replaced with a seasonal salad, though. You may want to check if the marinated watermelon and tomato salad is available during your trip.

But home-style cornbread muffins and  cheddar-bacon cornbread muffins are also delicious! These are served with whipped butter and hot pepper jelly. Being able to mix and match the different biscuits and spreads was absolutely fantastic.

Out of the entrees, the Crispy Fried Chicken is a winner, winner, chicken dinner (literally)! This fried chicken comes with Macaroni & Cheese topped with toasted Panko Breadcrumbs, and Greens. We were actually very impressed by this dish!

Crispy Fried Chicken

It had a little bit of a spicy kick to it with the breading, and the chicken was moist.

When it comes to desserts, we recommend the Family Dessert Platter. This plate currently comes with Peach Cobbler with Crème Anglaise, Banana Cream Pie, Hummingbird Cake, and a Honey of a Chocolate Cupcake according to Disney’s online menu. It used to come with fritters in place of the peach cobbler, so just be aware that some menu items can change.

Dessert Platter

We really liked the cupcake and banana cream pie. We also felt like the hummingbird cake was a unique dessert choice for this spot and were happy to taste some of that yummy pineapple in it. Overall, it was fun to have a variety of different dessert options to sample from.

Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen

Over at Skipper Canteen you’ve got a number of items to choose from. When it comes to appetizers, we highly recommend that you inquire with your skipper whether there are any secret menu items available! We’ve had some fantastic items here in the past like Pao de Queijo (cheese bread) and Pork Satay (grilled pork in a soy-ginger sauce served with a slaw featuring carrots, pickled onion, and lettuce). These items can change, so you’ll want to see what’s available during your trip.

Skipper Canteen is one of the finest dining options for Jungle Cruise travelers!

In terms of entrees here, we’d recommend the “Tastes like Chicken” Because it is ($24). This dish is made of a Crispy-fried Chicken  with Sweet Chili Glaze, Stir-fried Vegetables, and Seasoned Rice. The chili glaze adds a perfect blend of sweet and spicy flavors to the dish and the chicken is nice and crispy!

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, the Coconut Bar with Pineapple Basil Compote and Vanilla Cream ($8.50) is a unique and absolutely delicious choice. The dish features a Vanilla Chiffon Cake with Coconut and Lime-White Chocolate Ganache and is, in a word, amazing!

The cake is perfectly light and those flavors (including the basil!) mix together very well.

Liberty Tree Tavern

Right now, Liberty Tree Tavern is serving its family-style menu for both lunch and dinner for $39 for adults. You don’t have a lot of choices here, except for selecting a plant-based version of this meal, but that’s a-okay with us because the standard family-style meal here is DELICIOUS!

The Declaration Salad has a fantastic honey-based vinaigrette.

Time for Salad!

The Patriot’s Platter is basically all the deliciousness of Thanksgiving without any of the cooking. It comes with Roasted Turkey Breast, Pot Roast, and Oven-roasted Pork with Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Herb Stuffing, and House-made Macaroni and Cheese. The turkey is moist, the pot roast is flavorful, the pork is super juicy, and the mashed potatoes are perfectly buttery. And don’t forget you’ll get a whole boat of gravy!

But the REAL star here is the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake! This dish features Toffee Cake, Chocolate Sauce, and Vanilla Ice Cream. This is seriously one of the BEST desserts in all of Disney World.

Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake

It’s full of pockets of chocolate and toffee. Combine that with the vanilla ice cream it’s served with, and you’ve got a dessert you’ll dream about once you’ve left.

Plaza Restaurant

The Plaza Restaurant is a quaint Magic Kingdom classic. The Plaza Loaded Fries are a delicious appetizer ($12.50). These crispy fries come topped with melted cheddar, house-made bacon, and green onion. These are essentially the same as the Figaro Fries that used to be served elsewhere in the park.

Plaza Restaurant

When it comes to the entrees there are some great options here, but we love the Home-style Meatloaf ($23). This dish is served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

The meatloaf is savory and has a great flavor, the mashed potatoes are buttery, and overall it’s just a classic dish that’ll make you feel like you’re right at home.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a trip to the Plaza without a classic dessert like the Original Banana Split ($10).

Tony’s Town Square

And finally we reach Tony’s Town Square. We haven’t really been blown away by the dishes here, and we’ve noticed that some of the food here is over-salted (at least for our taste).

All that being said, the Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo ($24) is rich and creamy so that might be a good option for you if you’re planning to eat here.

Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo

The Chicken Parmigiana ($26) and Spaghetti with Meatballs or Italian Sausage ($22) are some other standard dishes that are pretty good.

Spaghetti and Meatballs Tony’s Town Square

If you’re looking for some generic Italian food, these could be some fairly good options at Tony’s.

  1. Saying anything at Tony’s Town Square is good removes all credibility from the rest of the article lol. With that said, the rest of the article was spot on.
