PHOTOS: The Main Street Fire Station is CLOSED in Magic Kingdom

We previously shared that the interactive card game, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, would be closing soon at Magic Kingdom in Disney World.

The online calendar seemed to indicate that the game’s last day would be January 24th. As we walked through Magic Kingdom today, we did in fact see that Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom has officially closed. And we noticed that the game’s headquarters — the Main Street Fire Station — was closed as well.

Previously, Disney World guests could walk through the Main Street Fire Station — the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom headquarters — and get their set of cards to begin their adventure through the park.

But, today, as we approached the Fire Station, we noticed its doors were closed.

Initially, Cast Members had indicated that the closure of Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom was expected to be temporary. But, today we spoke with some Cast Members who now told us the closure of this interactive game is expected to be permanent.

Not only was the Fire Station closed, but the game has also been removed from the Magic Kingdom park map. We’ll be interested to see if Disney decides to put something new in place of this interactive game and what, if anything, that new experience will be.

We’re also not sure how long the Fire Station will be closed and what will come to this building in the future. We’ll keep an eye open for more info and let you know what we find.
