The Garden Grill is a fan-favorite character dining experience in EPCOT.
Mickey and friends visit each table while the restaurant rotates in a circle. Guests get a view of the Living with the Land attraction and the rest of the Land Pavilion during their rotation. Thanks to a tip from a reader, we noticed something noteworthy about the hours for the restaurant over the next several weeks.
There are currently no available reservations for Garden Grill available on the Disney World website between February 21st, 2021 through March 17th, 2021. Disney reservations can fill up quickly and will often be full for peak seasons. However, it’s fairly rare to see Garden Grill have no available reservations for multiple weeks in a row.
We also noticed the dining area stopped spinning a few days ago. We asked the Cast Members about the stalled rotation and they weren’t sure how long it would last. We inquired with the Disney online help desk and the Cast Member suspected it was due to the dining area rotation malfunctions as well. The restaurant is not on the refurbishment list so this may or may not be the reason.
We stopped into the Garden Grill today and the employees had not been told whether the restaurant would be closed for refurbishment. We’ll continue to check the refurbishment calendar and update you as we learn more about the potential closure.

We ate at the Garden Grill tonight and it was rotating again.
I just made a reservation today for March 1st.
My husband and I went to Garden Grill back on September 9th. Our server Bob was very attentive, even with the Pandemic the interaction with “Farmer” Mickey, Pluto and Chip and Dale was enjoyable and the restaurant rotated.
I currently have a reservation for March 6. I just checked and they are offering reservation times available for June 13 (last day of my future trip).
We ate at Garden Grill Christmas week and it wasn’t rotating then either. Character interaction was SO magical!
I just checked my plans for March 9th and I still have reservations for the Garden Grill for lunch. I made my reservations at my 60 days this past Sunday.
Oh gosh, we have a reservation for March 3rd….I hope it doesn’t get cancelled!
We’ve eaten at the garden grill preCOVID and 6 weeks ago… it’s definitely not the same as preCOVID because the characters are on the top row/level and everyone is seated at the lower level. They come by but it’s not the same. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice and the kids enjoy it.
We go there because the food tastes good and it has a good mix of American style food everyone in the family will eat. No complaining. We hope to go February 14th weekend
On 1/5 I made a reservation for Garden Grill on 3/11. As of today it’s still listed in my plans.
