If you thought that the space ships in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge were cool, these new jets might change how you travel soon!

Although airports have seen a shift with new TSA requirements and PPE machines, there’s a whole new line of ELECTRIC JETS that will be coming soon to fly travelers around Florida.
We feel like we could be in Tron or the Guardians of the Galaxy after seeing the new fleet of electric jet aircrafts that Lilium has started to build. According to Click Orlando, the Munich-based company has created vertical take-off and landing aircrafts that can fly within a 186-mile radius for a quick trip.

And, now Lilium has decided to build its first U.S. Vertiport for its vertical take-off aircrafts at Orlando’s Aerotropolis in Lake Nona! The Vertiport will be co-designed and constructed by Tavistock before receiving approval from the Federal Aviation Administration. However, the Lilium jet has been certified under the European Aviation Safety Agency and the FAA.

Lilium has stated that the flights will be competitively placed compared to high-speed trains or red-eye flights as well as being “considerably faster.” Guests will be able to travel from places like Orlando to Tampa in under an hour with a single charge.

We’ll continue to update you on everything happening with the Lilium jets and other travel companies!
