When the world suddenly came to a halt in March amidst the global health crisis, the film industry made the necessary changes to their release schedules for 2020. For most studios, that meant delaying their spring releases until later in the summer, or releasing some titles straight to home streaming.

Despite major movie chains like AMC preparing to have most of their locations open by mid-July, studios like Disney are again deciding to delay the release of their films.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney’s live action remake of Mulan, which was already pushed back from March to a July 24th release date, has been delayed yet again, now opening in theaters on August 21st, 2020.

The news comes after another highly-anticipated summer blockbuster, Tenet, was pushed back to August 12th. Disney has pushed back several of their upcoming films, including the next Pixar film Soul, which was originally slated to come out in June, but has since been pushed to this November.
