When Disney World announced their plans to reopen their theme parks and resorts, they noted that an increase in contactless experiences would be present.

We have just learned about one of the ways Disney will be able to limit contact between their Cast Members and guests when arriving for your dining reservations.
Through My Disney Experience, guests will now be able to check in virtually without needing to approach a host stand, limiting contact with Cast Members. This can happen one of two ways: you will either receive a push notification when your check-in window arrives, or you can scan a QR code in the lobby of the restaurant.

Regardless of whether you check in via the push notification or the QR code, you will be able to confirm your arrival time and party details ahead of your table being ready. Once your table is ready, you will receive a separate notification and will proceed to a specified location.
To ensure the proper use of the Mobile Check-in push notification function, you’ll need to make sure you have the latest version of the My Disney Experience App and have location services turned on.

Currently, only a select number of restaurants at the resorts and theme parks will offer mobile dine check-in. This may be something that is rolled out to all dining locations over time, but for now, we are anxious to test the new mobile dine check-in for ourselves once the resorts begin to open next week!

Maybe, in the very near future. We will not have to interact with anyone/human, with the exception of those that are in our party. With all the animatronics created by the Disney Company. I am sure this can become reality. Not just at dinning. The resorts, parks, everywhere on property. Then we are only conversing with those we came with.
