Grab That Pixie Dust, These Are Some Ways To Bring the Disney Magic Home While The Parks Are Closed!

With every Disney Park worldwide shut down as a way to flatten the curve, there’s just a little less magic in the world today… but that doesn’t mean there’s none at all.

Magic don’t stop at midnight… or when the parks close.

Here are some ways you can bring a bit of magic home while we wait for the parks to reopen!

A Virtual Park Day

So, did you know we have a YouTube channel? On All Ears TV, we have EVERYTHING you need for a virtual day at the parks over there, where Molly and the team are bringing you virtual ride throughs, park trips, tips, tricks, and more! For an example of what you can find, check out Molly’s challenge to ride EVERY ride in Magic Kingdom in a single day!

Turn Your House into a Magic Kingdom

If you really want to feel like you’re at the parks, you can do some decorating to Disney up your house. There’s a LOT of ways you can do this — you can make your own Mickey Waffles, or throw on your favorite pair of Ears! Both you and the kiddos can dress up as your favorite Disney character, and have your own Meet and Greet!

If you want to go the extra mile, you can get themed decorations to each individual land. Pirates, Cowboys, Robots, Princesses… Disney’s main lands are iconic for a reason, and there’s no shortage of generic (and cheap) party supplies out there. If you want to check out an example of a Disneyland themed birthday party, check out this post from C’Mon Get Crafty, which features free printable decorations and some awesome DIY ideas.

Disney-fy Your Dining!

While you can snag some iconic Mickey ice cream bars on your next grocery trip, you can also cook some of your favorite Disney recipes at home!

Yes, really!

That’s right — did you know that we have a massive library full of recipes for all of your favorite Disney meals? From Le Cellier‘s famous Cheddar Cheese Soup, to ‘Ohana‘s Tonga Toast, we’ve got ’em all! These aren’t just copycat recipes either; they’re the real thing. Every single recipe we share comes directly from Disney, so you can cook up a little Disney Magic at home.

All it takes is a little bit of pixie dust (plus, maybe a costume and some kid-friendly makeup if you so desire!) to turn your little on into a princess, princes, pirate, or whatever they’d like to be!

Put On a Show

Disney’s full of performances, singalongs, and parades. If you’re stuck inside, why not have some fun with it? All you really need for this is your favorite Disney songs and some confidence. Disney offers official Sing-Along videos on their YouTube channel, and services like Spotify have hours of Disney musical content.  You can hold a Disney Karaoke night for you and your kiddos, or whoever you’re with!

If you’ve got kids to entertain, take it a step further and put on a whole show or parade! Dance, sing, write dialogue, get as creative as you want!
