We know Disney is incredibly magical — but it’s also incredibly expensive!

Disney offers several different discounts for various groups such as Annual Passholders, Florida Residents, Military, and DVC Members, ranging from a percentage off merchandise or a few dollars off special event tickets to 30% off resort hotel rooms.
But one of the BEST discounts is one you have to shell out well over $100 to even take advantage of ON TOP of your Annual Pass or DVC Membership.
I know what you’re thinking: “Are you CRAZY? Pay MORE just for a discount?! What are you talking about?”
I’m talking about Tables in Wonderland!
Tables in Wonderland is a dining discount card you have to purchase, but you receive a big percentage off food and drinks including alcohol for your whole family, complimentary resort parking, and access to exclusive events, making it worth its weight in… cash. Interested yet?
Here are all the reasons we love Tables in Wonderland and why we think it might be the best Walt Disney World Discount!
You could get a discount when you dine with Cinderella!
First things first: Tables in Wonderland Logistics
Currently the Tables in Wonderland card is only available for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Florida Residents.
It’s $175 for Florida Residents and $150 for DVC Members or Annual Passholders. The purchaser must be 21 or older, and his or her name will be on the back of the card. A spouse or partner can purchase an additional card on the account for $50. There is also a $50 Replacement Fee if the card is lost. Tables in Wonderland is valid for a year from purchase.
You can purchase Tables in Wonderland at any Guest Relations location, or Annual Passholders and Florida Residents can call (407) 566-5858. You’ll have to prove your association, so make sure to have your proof of Florida residency/Annual Pass/DVC Member Card along with your ID.
You can read all about the Tables in Wonderland Card and its details here!

So…what’s the discount?
The main discount with Tables in Wonderland is 20% off at over 100 participating locations on both food and drinks, including alcohol. This is basically the only discount that includes alcohol — plus it’s the only discount accepted at many lounges around Walt Disney World.
Check out our favorite lounges for a meal here!

The Cardholder can apply the discount for themselves and up to nine guests — so basically the whole family can benefit from one cardholder. (If you have a spouse card they also get 9 additional guests, for 20 people total.) We should note that when using Tables in Wonderland, an 18% gratuity is automatically applied — which is fine by us, considering we were going to tip anyway.
If you’re a frequent visitor of Walt Disney World (which you probably are if you’re an AP or DVC member), the 20% discount adds up fast, and the Tables in Wonderland card pays for itself in just a handful of big table service meals (or a slew of tasty grown up beverages).

How fast does the discount add up?
Don’t worry we’ve done the math (you’re welcome).
When my husband and I bought the card, we factored the average cost of a meal for the two of us, and realized it would likely be less than ten meals (not even counting the other perks like parking!) before we broke even, and that’s just two of us.
Here’s an easy breakdown for a family of four with two adults, one teenager, and a 9-year old!
Taking a look at non-Signature, non-character, a la carte meals, the average entree is around $25. Add in an alcoholic beverage for $10, that’s $35 each for Mom and Dad, and about $30 for the teenager (just soda, obviously). The nine-year-old’s meal is around $10, which brings the total to $110.
With Tables in Wonderland, they save $22. That means if our family only ever went to these type of restaurants, on their 7th visit, they’d have saved back the initial value of the card ($150) and started saving money.

However if they go to a Signature Restaurant, the average entree is more like $45. Add in a $12 cocktail or glass of wine, and we are closer to $57 per person, which is $114 for the adults, and $50 for the teen. The younger kid will be around $16 now. (Again, not including an appetizer, dessert, or additional cocktails.)
This meal’s total is $180. With Tables in Wonderland, they save $36, which means we only have to go to four signature meals to pay off the card, and on meal five, they are already saving money.
And let’s be honest — they’re likely going to get a starter or dessert or a bottle of wine if they’re enjoying a Signature meal, making the savings add up even more quickly.

If our family goes to a character dinner buffet, we’re looking at around $55 per adult and $36 for kids. Even without additional beverages, that’s $201 for the meal. And that’s over $40 in savings with Tables in Wonderland, meaning their fourth visit would start saving them money.

If our family of four comes for one week and eats at places that take Tables in Wonderland, they could earn back their initial payment on just that trip.
And if you’re an Annual Passholder or DVC member, we’re betting you come more than once a year.
AND THAT’S NOT ALL!
One of the best, and often underused perks, of the Tables in Wonderland Card is free valet parking at the resorts! Of course, the catch is you have to be eating there. But you can valet one vehicle per Tables in Wonderland Card, go enjoy your meal, and then present your receipt when you’re picking your car up. Not only is this incredibly convenient (and you can feel v. fancy), but it saves you a $35 parking fee! (Remember: day guests can self-park at the resorts for free, but if you want to take advantage of the convenience of valet, this is the way to go!)
In just parking alone, it would only take four valets to start saving — and that doesn’t even factor in the meal you ate to redeem the free valet!

Tables in Wonderland members have other perks, too, like the opportunity to take part in exclusive dining events, such as Chef’s Tables. Additionally, special discounts on culinary events may be available. These are typically emailed to members and are yet another way to save with the card.
Tables in Wonderland is a consistently good discount for regular visitors who plan to dine at Table Service and Signature restaurants. If you eat and drink at Disney World frequently, you absolutely need to look into this card!

I can see a lot of people posting here didn’t do so well in math!
We use the valet parking all the time. We went to WDW six times last year. Saved a lot of money.
As DVC members, we already receive 10% off at a lot of restaurants, so the savings ends up being only 10%.
Don’t forget that DVC members and annual
Pass holders already get 10% off at most of these places. So you have to halve your savings in order to justify the cost of the card. We’ve had one and found, with our family of 5, visiting once, it wasn’t worth it. If, however, you visit More, it can be worth it. Do the math before buying.
DVC gives 20% too but not on alcohol so not sure it would be worth it.
Kathy
Steve is correct your math on the meals is flawed. You save 20% but give back 18%. So you true break even is when you spend $7500 in meals. 2% savings equals $2.00 per $100 spent. $150 price tag for membership divided by $2.00 equals 75 $100 meals or $7500 in spend. So if you dine at Disney a lot and spend over $7500 annually then it’s worth buying. Or another way is if you want to spend $150 to be able to leave free tips then go for it.
You forgot that their is a 18% gratuity attached to the bill with Tables in Wonderland. So if normally leave 20% you save an additional 2 %.
And call afterward to get the plastic card!
