ABC Commissary has been a quick-service location since it opened in Disney World‘s Hollywood Studios. You place your order at a register (or on Mobile Order) and pick your food up at the counter — then look for a table. That is changing on June 2, 2019, for seatings after 4 p.m.

Starting June 2, 2019, you will be able to make an ADR (Advanced Dining Reservation) at 4 p.m. and later, which gives you priority entry at your selected time.
You will make your ADR as you do for any other location accepting ADRs. When you arrive you will place your order, take a pager, then find a table. When your order is ready, you don’t need to get it yourself (or wait in line for it) — it will be delivered to your table.

The lunch (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.) time period will operate as always — order at the counter (or on Mobile Order) and pick your food up.
To go along with this change, the restaurant will be updating its dinner menu, serving up a new Pot Roast served over mashed potatoes and root vegetables with beef gravy and onion straws.

There will also be a few other enhancements, including self-serve beverage stations and new Art-Deco-inspired elements and furnishings.

One of my favorite QS places in all of Disney! They are probably preparing for when crowd levels significantly increase with the Star Wars opening.
Just what I was thinking. Let me plan out my cafeteria grade meal 180 days in advance. Can’t wait!
I suspect this is just another way of controlling a bit the crowds that come for GE. As for food the quality when we first went in 2006 was good. Well it and the menu have been declining since and I wonder how long before it becomes a full TS place?
Totally unnecessary. Unless they’re changing the menu and offering better food then leave well enough alone.
One of the only good quick meal place in the park. Hope that don’t change. Hardly can get reservations any more.
Will the reservations be optional or do you have to make one? Also will it still be quick service and can you use the dining plan?
