My extended family ate here in late January, 2025, and had a really nice evening!
We did have a bit of a rocky start. The restaurant was very busy and we had to wait almost 30 minutes past our reservation time to be sat. On the plus side there is a great lounge and the grownups got to have a drink while we waited.
The restaurant is brilliantly decorated like a 50's home. If that isn't your thing this won't influence you, but I felt like I was in my grandma's house and I loved it.
I did not tell my family that the staff gives you chores and ribs you like family would and they really enjoyed the surprise treatment. My young nieces loved telling their daddy over and over again that his elbows weren't allowed on the table! While we were eating a server "punished" a girl who didn't eat her veggies by making her clear the table and carry them to the kitchen. It was hilarious! Our server was very personal and had a great sense of humor. She honed in right away on who was really into the gag and delivered her digs accordingly.
The food - it's comfort food. Nothing new or exciting here. They do it pretty well. One person really liked their fried chicken, the other person thought it was just fine. We all agreed the appetizers the highlight of the meal. Dessert was also fine.
Are there characters here? No. Did my nieces care that black and white tv was playing at our table? No. But the adults sure got a kick out of the shows that were playing! The ambiance is fun and the cast members were great. It wasn't the best meal we had on our trip, but it was definitely the best value for our money. It is a great "value" table service option in a park that doesn't have much to offer in the way of dining. I would return here without hesitation.
Pros:
Cast member interactions, ambiance, price, good for picky eatersCons:
Not a very adventurous menuReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 02/18/2025

We went here for my daughter's birthday lunch. Not 1 cast member wished her a "Happy Birthday" and our server was totally bland. Nearly zero interaction and never checked back to see if we needed anything else, or how our food was. The food was tasty as always, and we will likely return, however, the previous year's of cast member interaction and lively antics are long gone. We did not see any other tables having interactions with their servers either.
Pros:
Food is tastyCons:
No interaction with the cast members and totally lackluster attitudesReviewed by CarterRice1218 Review Date: 07/05/2024

The theme and atmosphere are amazing. The food is really good. I recommend the chicken Pot Pie, with a peanut butter and jelly milkshake. I go here on all of my Disney Trips!!

This place is great!! Feels like eating in Grandma's house. The fried chicken is amazing and you won't be leaving hungry.
Pros:
Fun atmosphere and great food. The ranch dressing is amazing, yet somehow vegan. I never would've guessed.Cons:
I wasn't scolded when I didn't finish my vegetables! lol Also, if you don't like ranch with your salad you are out of luck.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 08/28/2023

The food was so much better than I thought it would be! I was just tagging along with a family friend for the atmosphere and the PB&J milkshakes, but everything was delicious! I had the meatloaf and really enjoyed it. Our waiter was amazing and we had a ton of fun after a long day.
Pros:
Good food, home feel, fun atmosphereCons:
Our table was in a darker room not near the retro tvsReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 08/16/2023

The staff is incredible and totally play the part here. My kids thought it was hilarious when their mom got called out for putting her elbows on the table haha.
Pros:
Amazing and engaging staff that take you back in time and make you feel like family; fun themed atmosphere; delicious food and even better tasting desserts; my favorite adult beverage during our trip was from hereCons:
not every table/seat is positioned near the retro tvsReviewed by Bpm780 Review Date: 04/30/2023

Our family of six ate here in February 2023. We had booked the Fantasmic Dining Package which gave each of us an appetizer or dessert and an entree. The onion rings were delicious and I really enjoyed the cheese plate. Our entrees were the chicken cesar, the fried chicken and the meatloaf. All of the food was good and everyone enjoyed everything that was ordered. Two of our party ordered the PBJ milkshakes for dessert and said they were delicious. The waitress we had (Janice) was wonderful. She was wonderful in her role. She was our \"cousin\" and complained that he feet hurt and sat down between our table and the table next to us. Everyone played along and we had lots of laughs. However, one of our party doesn't like being teased, so she sat in the corner away from the aisle and was totally left alone. If you don't like the all of the antics, I would definitely recommend that you eat somewhere else (SciFi!). However, we had a great experience!
Pros:
Lots of laughs, food pretty good, Fantasmic Dining Package worth itCons:

The food was amazing but it's imperative that you know what you're getting into. If your server seems pushy or blunt, they're supposed to be.
Pros:
Amazing foodCons:
There's just better places to eat within the parkReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 09/03/2022

Our server was rude. She charged me $19 more than what I should have been charged for and wouldn’t fix it after she told me she would and took my money anyway. Terrible service I don’t recommend.
Pros:
NoneCons:
Server needs to be fired. She was rude to my entire table. Oh and not to mention she ripped an iPad out of a child’s hand at the table beside usReviewed by lauren94 Review Date: 08/16/2022

I love the theming of this restaurant. It feels like your in the 50s eating at your grandma's house. The waiters are like your family and treat you like so. It's so funny! You definitely go here for the experience. The food is pretty good, but not exceptional.
