NEWS: Disney’s Beach Club Resort Refurbishment Just Got ANOTHER Timeline Update

A lot of construction is happening around Disney World, and we have an update for you on a popular Disney resort…well, ANOTHER update!

The construction happening at Disney’s Beach Club Resort has been a whole journey dating back to last year. Disney is still working on the exterior of the resort, and it’s now going to take LONGER than what was expected…in a way.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is currently undergoing visible exterior maintenance that is set to last through late 2027. Originally, when the construction began in 2025, it was supposed to go through September 2025.

However, that construction period was pushed to a MUCH larger timeframe. Disney extended the construction period through 2027. We’re not sure how the jump went from 2025 to 2027, but it did. That being said, the timeline change didn’t stop there.

Disney later down the line ended up changing the construction period, stating it would now last through late 2026 instead of 2027. Did it end there? Nope. Now, if you check the Disney World website, the exterior maintenance is set to last through late 2027…again.

If you plan on staying at the resort through the year, just be aware that the construction will impact views from various locations throughout the Resort hotel. Also, there may be times when you will need to take alternate paths of travel.

The exterior isn’t the only thing being worked on at the resort; the Tidal leisure pool will be closed for routine maintenance. However, that refurbishment will only last through early May, so it’s very close to opening. Guests may see or hear work in the area during daytime hours until the refurbishment is complete.

We’re not sure if this is a resort you’ll want to stay in at the beginning of 2027, with the hotel still going through construction, and the Disney Skyliner being closed for refurbishment from January 24th through January 30th, 2027.
