REVIEW: Is This Disney World Hotel Bar Worth The Stop, Or Should You Keep Walking By? We’re Finding Out!

When you’re at your Disney World hotel, and you’re tired and don’t want to go anywhere for food and drinks, you can usually always find something at the hotel to satisfy you.

So if you’re staying at Disney’s Coronado Springs, you have a couple of options for food and drinks, but we thought we’d try out a bar at this resort that we don’t see mentioned a lot, Laguna Bar. So let’s go order food and drinks there!

Laguna Bar sits next to the lake at Coronado Springs, and it’s basically a shack bar with a limited menu of food and cocktails. The vibes are tropical and relaxing, and it’s easy to walk up and place your order. There isn’t a lot of seating available, but it’s not usually that busy.

Now, the Disney World website and the My Disney Experience app list Watchos as being available here, but when we tried to order those, we were told they were only available at Rix Sports Bar & Grill. So we’ve already started our visit with some disappointment.

Instead, we opted for the Loaded Nachos for $15. You get Freshly-made corn tortilla chips topped with shredded Monterey Jack cheese, drizzled with queso sauce, queso fresco cheese, pico de gallo, scallions, guacamole, pickled jalapenos, and Mexican crema. So, these nachos are pretty average, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the chips came from a grocery store because they did not taste fresh.

The cheese was good, though, and melted nicely on top of the chips. The rest of the toppings were also fresh, and the flavors all worked together. But we’re still wishing these were Watchos instead.

Pretty sure these are Tostitos

We also ordered a drink, Everything Hurts, which is made with Barbancourt 8-yr Rum, Orange & Pineapple Juice, Blackstrap Bitters, Coconut Cream, and Nutmeg for $15.25. The strongest flavor in this drink is the alcohol, followed by the coconut cream. The fruit juice flavors are pretty subtle. The nutmeg was nice and subtle, but the alcohol still overpowers it.

Overall, if we had to do it again, we’d probably skip this bar and head on over to Rix Sports Bar & Grill to get the Watchos or visit Dahlia Lounge or Three Bridges Restaurant. This isn’t a bar you’d want to go out of your way for, but even if you happen to be in the vicinity, you might still want to consider heading elsewhere.

We’ll be visiting more Disney World restaurants, lounges, and bars, so check back with AllEars again soon for more reviews.
