We’ve Got Good News And Bad News About This Disney World Hotel Restaurant

The tea experience is officially back at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and we have some mixed feelings about our experience!

Garden View Tea Room

The beloved Garden View Tea Room had closed in 2020 during the COVID-19 shutdown, but on March 19th, 2026, it finally reopened. This reimagined version features an updated entrance, refreshed interior, and an all-new menu. Of course, we couldn’t resist stopping by to check it out for ourselves, and now we’re breaking down everything you need to know before you book.

Let’s start with the good news because there’s plenty of it. If you’re looking for a truly charming and memorable experience, this is where the Garden View Tea Room stands out. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning, with bright, airy elegance that feels perfectly in line with Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa’s signature style.

It’s the kind of place that feels special the moment you sit down, whether you’re celebrating a birthday, enjoying a girls’ day, or bringing kids along for a fun and fancy outing. The service also stands out in the best way. Cast Members are attentive, friendly, and help guide you through the experience, making it feel elevated from start to finish. Overall, the vibes here are a solid 10/10, and that alone goes a long way in making this a worthwhile visit.

That said, the biggest drawback comes down to the price versus the food quality. This experience is definitely on the expensive side at $79 per adult and $49 per child, plus tax and gratuity. While you are served plenty of food, we didn’t feel like the flavors or execution quite matched the premium cost.

Plenty of food offerings, but they aren’t as elevated as we hoped for.

In fact, the standout item for us ended up being the cheese plate, which costs an additional $21 on top of the already pricey tea service. Compared to other tea experiences we’ve had, the food here just didn’t feel as elevated as we expected. You won’t leave hungry, but you may leave wishing the menu lived up more to the price tag.
