When My Parents Visit Me in Disney World, THIS Is Where I Take Them to Eat

Disney World offers a litany of dining options across property, with restaurants for every taste. However, all those choices can sometimes make it hard to choose where to go, especially, say, if you’re a Disney Adult wondering where to take your parents for a nice meal…

From the resort’s theme parks and hotels to the Disney Springs shopping district, these restaurants offer meals that are sure to meet — or perhaps for a few of them, we should say “meat” — parental approval next time the whole family visits Disney World.

Topolino’s Terrace

Located at the top of the Riviera Resort, Topolino’s offers both a prix-fixe breakfast menu and a dinner menu loaded with “delicious seafood and meat dishes, handmade pasta and decadent desserts infused with French and Italian flavors”, as well as gorgeous views of the resort.

Said view becomes especially breathtaking at night, when the restaurant and its outdoor patio offer perfect views of fireworks at both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

Steakhouse 71

Over at the Contemporary, Steakhouse 71 is perfect for an older crowd. The restaurant offers a menu based on some of “Walt’s favorites,” including Walt’s Prime Rib Hash for breakfast and classic dinner offerings, such as French Onion Soup, Prime Rib, 6-oz Filet Mignon, or Dry-aged Bone-In Pork Chop.

The restaurant — and its connected lounge, including a portfolio of Disney family wines are also available, and cocktails reminiscent of the 1970s.

Wailulu Bar & Grill

Located at the Polynesian Resort, Wailulu offers a menu of “delicious flavors inspired by cuisine from the South Pacific Islands.” Said flavors include poke bowls, salads, burgers, and short ribs, and salads all in a space that is adorned with “dazzling Polynesian-inspired artwork—much of which was crafted by recycled materials and reclaimed fishing nets.”

However, the biggest draw here may be the gorgeous views of the Seven Seas Lagoon, including direct sightlines to watch the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks.

Wine Bar George

If your parents are wine connoisseurs, get over to Wine Bar George at Disney Springs. This establishment  offers more than 200 wines by the glass, bottl,e and ounce, all from “acclaimed and well-known wineries, as well as growing regions that are up-and-coming.”

The menu offers dishes to complement every wine, including small plates like hummus, spiced olives, and house-made meatballs, cheese board and charcuterie boards, and even family-style plates that serve 2 to 4 Guests, including skirt steak, grilled sea bas, ,and more.

Via Napoli

If your parents are a bit on the… picky side when it comes to trying new food, this EPCOT eatery offers some good old-fashioned — and mean old-fashioned — pizza.

As a bonus, said pizzas are more than big enough for a group to share, flashing back to classic family pizza nights.

Homecomin’

As the name suggests, Chef Art Smith’s Homcomin’ offers a menu of comfort food  and BBQ “cuisine is inspired by Florida agriculture and the recipes of Chef Art’s family table.”

Plus, it’s a top choice for a family brunch, offering a “savory selection of feel-good dishes, including fried chicken and house-made sugar doughnuts, short rib hash and an open-faced biscuit topped with Chef Art’s famous fried chicken” as well as classic cocktails including white peach sangria, mimosas, and Bloody Marys.

‘50s Prime Time Cafe

So this Hollywood Studios icon isn’t particularly on the list for its food offerings — though its comfort classics like pot roast, fried chicken, and meatloaf are actually pretty good — but rather the ambiance.

After all, with all the tables set in “mom’s kitchen” and all the servers in the role of “cousins”, you’ll be able to treat your parents to an… ahem… “loving” family meal.
