HUGE Update On Construction at Disney World's Newest Hotel

There is construction happening all over Disney World right now, with several new lands, a new park expansion, ride updates, and more coming to the resort over the next few years.

However, you may have forgotten that Disney World is also getting a brand new hotel, Lakeshore Lodge. Well, we now have a pretty good idea of what the hotel’s pool area will look like.

New aerial photos by @bioreconstruct show the pool area of Lakeshore Lodge, including what looks to be a lazy river. As you can see from the photos, this area is going to be HUGE.

This also confirms that there will be a big pool, as well as a river area.

In 2018, Disney first announced a new hotel called Reflections — A Lakeside Lodge. That project was seemingly shelved after 2020, but was recently brought back as Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, and as you can tell, construction is well underway for the resort. The hotel is being built on the property previously occupied by Disney’s River Country water park near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

The hotel is inspired by nature, as well as its influence on Disney artists. In some of the concept art, there’s a sign above the entrance that says “The Wonders of Nature are Endless.” You can also see Bambi, Thumper, and Flower details.

Disney hasn’t revealed a lot of other details about the hotel, although when it was still being planned as Reflections, Disney imagineers had plans for a restaurant themed around The Princess and the Frog. However, it’s unclear if that restaurant will be included at Lakeshore Lodge. There are rumors that something similar may appear in the new hotel, though, so we’ll have to wait and see.
