Animal Kingdom dropped new snacks, so you bet we were out there trying them all for you. Which are worth the price, which are a skip, and which should be on the top of your list — we’re here to tell it all.

We try snacks all day long, but when we say a snack is good, we mean it. Be warned: there are a lot of good snacks in this review that might cause you to book another day in Animal Kingdom.
First, we headed to Creature Comforts, which is Animal Kingdom’s Starbucks location. We grabbed the Peppermint Ganache Brownie for $5.79, which is a fudge brownie topped with peppermint-white chocolate ganache and peppermint pieces.

This treat was fun and cute, but in a simple way. We thought the peppermint flavor was a little too strong, especially compared to some other peppermint treats we’ve had lately. The actual brownie reminded us of a store-bought one, where it’s a little thicker and hard to cut through, but it also had white chocolate ganache pieces inside. The peppermint and white chocolate ganache on top brings in some of that strong peppermint flavor, and for $6, we thought this was a good snack, but nothing to write home about. We’ve definitely had more unique and flavorful treats.

Then we headed to Flame Tree BBQ for the Cranberry-Cherry Cheesecake Pop for $6.29. This is a white chocolate cheesecake with cranberry-cherry swirl dipped in dark chocolate with a cookie crust.

Right off the bat, we have to acknowledge how cute this is! There’s a design on top, but also one underneath, along with a hidden Mickey. We loved the milk chocolate coating, and the cookie crust was almost like a thin brownie. The cheesecake had a good bite to it, where you could taste the cream cheese against the cranberry and cherry, and it was delightfully creamy. This is definitely one of those quick snacks that we would grab again.

After that, we went straight towards Pizzafari for the Gary De’Snake Macaron to celebrate Zootopia 2. It’s $6.49 and a passion fruit ganache-filled macaron with raspberry jelly decor and chocolate decor.

We thought this was surprisingly good! It’s a great size, which we really appreciated, and the design on top is so cute, especially with the tongue sticking off like a Fruit Roll-Up. Our reporter said it was “stupid cute,” and we can’t help but agree. Most of the flavor comes from that passion fruit filling, which was SO good, and while the shell didn’t have much flavor, it was soft and easy to cut into. The inside is where you want to focus on, and we can see ourselves grabbing one of these again.

We headed to Pandora to try some new treats, too. We started with the Nightwraith Blaze for $10.29 from Pongu Pongu, which is a blood orange, lychee, and wildberry slushy topped with a glow cube and passion fruit juice-filled pearls.

This was so wonderful, and we would like to get fifteen gazillion of these. It’s a refreshing, grown-up take on fruit punch, and the blood orange and lychee worked so well together. You can taste the two flavors separately through the boba pearls on top if you’re looking for it, or together, which is more of a fruit punch flavor. For $10, this was a deal and was so delicious that if you see us in Animal Kingdom with one of these in hand, don’t mind us — we’re just living our dreams.

Finally, we went to Satu’li Canteen to grab two snacks. We started with the Trader’s Tailwind for $16.50, which is made with Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, Bols Triple Sec Liquer, mango puree, Minute Maid Orange Juice, chamoy, and ginger beer with a chili-lime-rimmed glass garnished with a dehydrated blood orange wheel.

Dang! Another hit! Our reporter, who has been reporting for years, by the way, has said this is their favorite margarita on Disney World property, which is a tremendous honor. The first flavor you taste is the chili-lime on the rim, but then the mango puree, which is stunning. There’s a perfect balance of sweetness meeting a very low heat with a tangy, juiciness. It’s so, SO good. Our only complaint is that we wish it were a larger glass for the price.

We also had the Mangkwan Mousse for $6.29 with cinnamon-milk chocolate mousse, caramelized banana cake, banana-sesame caramel, and a chocolate-sesame crumble.

Y’all. We don’t know who’s creating this new food for Animal Kingdom, but they are innovative geniuses. They’re for the new Avatar: Fire and Ash movie, and this mousse messes with your mind in the best ways. It’s like a creme brulee on the outside, but a banana bread on the inside, and the caramelized drip on top with the chocolate sesame feels perfect. There’s a bit of a charred taste, and it’s a whole flight of the senses, and just straight up incredible.

YUM! Don’t underestimate grabbing some tasty snacks at Animal Kingdom. We’re sharing all the best reviews here with you, so make sure you keep following AllEars for more.
