I’ve been to Disney World countless times, and even I have a hard time trying to decide what’s best to eat.

That’s why here at AllEars, we try all the eats and treats we can find to help make that decision easier for you! We recently tried three brand-new items, and we’re letting you know if they’re worth a grab.
We stopped by Crockett’s Tavern over at Fort Wilderness to try a few new menu items. Sometimes, the Disney World hotels can have some underrated spots. We had to find out if these new items made this spot a part of that list.

First off, we grabbed the House-smoked Beef Brisket Sliders for $18. It was made with creamy coleslaw, horseradish cream, and came with French fries. The brisket was super tender and was falling apart as you picked it up. It is a little on the fattier side, but everything melted in your mouth.

The horseradish cream was nice and creamy and added some great flavor. It wasn’t a super strong horseradish flavor, and it wasn’t spicy, but you could taste it.

The coleslaw was also tasty, and honestly, the sliders could’ve used more of it. Everything complements each other well, and the buns were nice and fluffy. The fries were seasoned and crispy, making them a great side.

Then we got the Burnt Ends Macaroni & Cheese for $18. This was white cheddar macaroni & cheese, glazed pork burnt ends, and pickled peppers. This was our favorite of the new items! If you love mac and cheese, this dish is 100% for you. The mac and cheese was super creamy and had lots of white cheddar flavor.

The burnt ends were crispy on the outside and very meaty. They were also coated with a sweet BBQ sauce. The burnt ends worked super well with the creamy mac and cheese, and we would definitely come back for this! It isn’t your baked, crispy mac and cheese; it is your creamy and silky mac and cheese — there’s a difference.

We also grabbed the Hot Honey Chicken Wings for $16, which are Fried Chicken Wings, Chili-infused Honey, and Vinegar Cucumbers.

These were covered in honey and had a fantastic mix of sweet and spicy. These weren’t overly spicy, but if you’re not a fan of spice, you’ll want to beware and use the ranch and blue cheese to cool things down a bit. We’d absolutely get them again!

Our final entree was the Bacon Cheeseburger for $19, which is made with with House-smoked Cherrywood Bacon, Garlic-Herb Cheese, and Sweet Onion Jam served with French Fries.

This was also great! We ordered our burger medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly, and the garlic-herb cheese added a great flavor to it. The bacon was cooked fantastically — it was chewy, but not too much so, and our only request is that we’d love to see an actual slice of cheese on the burger to really enhance that cheese flavor. The fries served with it are your classic Disney fries, but the seasoning was fantastic, so we were impressed overall!

For dessert, we got the Buttermilk Pie for $9. If you haven’t had buttermilk pie before, now is the time to put it in your life — specifically this one. The seasonal topping was whipped cream and strawberries.

The strawberries were like what you would find in a pie. The buttermilk pie was like a mix between a custard and a cake. It was soft and creamy and had a bit of cheesecake consistency to it, but was not quite as smooth as a cheesecake. It was super moist but still held together.

It tasted like vanilla and sugar, so the pie really took its flavor from the strawberry syrup on top. The whipped cream tasted homemade and worked really well with the strawberries and buttermilk pie. This was delicious, and we would 100% be back for this!
