Looks like the great menu shake-ups at Disney World have made their way into one of our favorite signature restaurants. So what we’re left wondering is if we’ll still love dining here just as much as we have before!

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney World restaurants — including where you should definitely eat, and where you should skip. We recently stopped by Tiffins Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and are bringing you our FULL review!
Background
Tiffins is located in Animal Kingdom in the Discovery Island section of the park. It’s a signature restaurant, so it’s one of Disney World’s fancier dining options…and it comes with a fancy price tag!

Tiffins also has its own lounge — Nomad Lounge. You may have heard us talk about it before because it’s an AllEars FAVE! However, today, we’re heading inside the main Tiffins dining room.

This restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner, with seating options consisting of waterfront views from comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.
Atmosphere
When you first walk into the restaurant, you’ll find the host’s stand. Here, you can check in for your meal.

Tiffins is inspired by the spirit of discovery, and it pays homage to the Imagineers and animal experts behind Animal Kingdom. The dining areas are decorated with artwork from around the world, celebrating a variety of cultures.

You’ll even spot intricate wooden carvings around the dining space. Honestly, it feels kind of like dining inside a curated museum!

There’s a mix of booths and table seating throughout the restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, but also feels like you’re enjoying a meal at a travel lodge on a wild adventure.

Even the name of the restaurant harkens back to exotic, distant places: “Tiffins” refers to the light lunch meal prepared for workers in India, traditionally carried in tiered containers and served right out of them, as well.

But enough about that, what are we eating?!
Food & Drinks
First up, we grabbed the Passion Fruit Hamachi Crudo
for $21. This is made with Passion Fruit and Sesame Leche de Tigre, Pickled Pineapple, Cilantro Oil, Szechuan Chili Crunch.

This was incredibly tangy with a strong taste of cilantro. You get the slightly briny seafood flavor on the backend, but mostly this has that citrus freshness with a bit of sour. As far as appetizers go, this is one of the more unique options we’ve tried in Disney World, and those with adventurous palates may want to give it a try.

We also grabbed the Seared Yellowfin Tuna with Pork and Shrimp Dumpling for $19. This is served with Rice Masago-crusted Tuna, Gochujang Sweet Chili Sauce.

This one really shocked us with how delicious it was! There’s a rich flavor from the meat inside, but the sweet chili really comes through and pairs nicely. The dumpling has a nice chew to it, and there’s a great mixture of flavors and textures overall. There’s a slight tuna taste, but not too much to turn you away if you’re not the biggest fan of fish.

To round out the new items, we grabbed the Coconut-Ube Cauliflower Soup for $14. This is made with Miso Caramel, Roasted Cauliflower and Mushroom, Fried Garlic.

This was thick, sweet, and had a delicious flavor with hints of roasted caramel and garlic. There were bits of cauliflower that added to the texture, but the flavor of those pieces wasn’t really evident at all. This was another dish that surprised us pleasantly!

But that’s not all — we also snagged the Signature Tiffins Bread Service for $18. It comes with Thai Red Curry Milk Bread, Pao de Queijo, papadam, coconut-curry sauce, guava sauce, and ginger-pear chutney.

This was, as usual, exceptional! There are different breads for different palettes, from the cheesy Pao de Queijo to the soft naan. You can mix-and-match with the sauces to create different flavors and combinations, and it’s honestly just a really fun start to your meal. If you’ve got a few people at your table, we highly recommend this appetizer!

So where does Tiffins land?
Magic or Tragic?
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You have adventurous tastes. The menu is full of fun surprises, and if that sounds appealing, you should check it out!
- You’re looking for a fancy experience. Since this is a signature restaurant, the prices are higher and so is the quality. They have an extensive wine list as well.
- You need a long air-conditioned break. This is a meal that you can take at a relaxed pace, and with the themed atmosphere and delicious food, it’s a great break.
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You’re on a budget. Like we said above, it’s definitely not a cheap spot!
- You’re in a hurry. This is the kind of meal that you should savor and relax through.
- You’ve got picky eaters. For picky eaters, you’ll want to head elsewhere — you’ll be spending a lot of money to get some more unique dishes here.

Tiffins is an absolutely lovely experience that we recommend for the more adventurous palates! However, if you don’t have the budget, the time, or quite the taste for this menu, we highly recommend stopping by the Nomad Lounge next door as well.
