The SECRET Disney World Shortcut You're Probably Not Using, But Should Be

Of course we love staying at the Disney World hotels for a whole host of reasons.

The ambiance, immersion, and convenience just can’t be beat, especially when you consider some of the hotels like Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Now, speaking of convenience and the Beach Club resort, there’s this secret shortcut that you’re probably not using, but after reading this, you’d better!

As you’re planning out which Disney World hotel you’re going to stay at, you’re probably thinking of convenience, specifically how long it’s going to take you to get from the room to the parks. Well, if you’re looking for the shortest distance between your hotel room and one of the parks, you can’t get any better than Disney’s Beach Club resort and EPCOT.

When you look at the map, you can see what I mean.

On the left in red, we have Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and on the right in yellow, we have the International Gateway entrance into EPCOT. This is also the location of a very convenient Skyliner gate as well. Now, using the main entrance to the hotel to get to EPCOT really isn’t that far, but there’s a secret entrance that’s so much better to use if there’s inclement weather, or you just want to get inside faster.

Beach Club Resort Secret Door

To get to this hidden door, start by looking for a small gate near the pathway to the EPCOT International Gateway. When you spot that gate, go through it, and walk down the small path until you spot a white door.

Ta-da!

Know that this door can ONLY be used by those staying at Beach Club, meaning it requires key card access, but this is the “secret entrance” that can come in hand when you’re going to and from EPCOT!

How short is this distance between the hotel and EPCOT? Well, this walk is only 245 steps from the International Gateway (yes, we actually counted it!).

Not too many people use this door, which gives it a feel of being only for Cast Members, but any hotel guest can use them freely. So do with that what you will (and save yourself all kinds of time when going to EPCOT!). If you’re looking for more recent Disney Hotel news, have a look here!
