4 Top Secret Shortcuts in Disney's Animal Kingdom

When you’re in the parks at Disney World as often as we are, you’re bound to learn a few things.

Through trial and error we’ve found out where all the best snacks are, which bathrooms are the best, and of course all of the most underrated shortcuts in all the parks. Today, we’re going over our favorite shortcuts from Animal Kingdom!

Pandora to Africa

The first shortcut we’ve got to talk about is the one between Pandora and Africa. It makes for the perfect shortcut when you want to travel from one to the other without going back onto Discovery Island.

On top of being a great shortcut, it also tends to barely have anybody walking on the path either. So, not only will you shave some time off of your travels, but you’ll usually find fewer people on this path.

To the Left of the Tree of Life

Next, if you’re looking for the quickest way to get back to Africa, you’re going to want to make a beeline for this path. To be fair, it’s not exactly a “secret” shortcut.

It’s more of a “You can get your snack-age on a Terra Treats and your coffee fix at Creature Comforts on your way to Kilimanjaro Safaris” kind of path. And you’ll save a few minutes instead of going all the way around from either DinoLand U.S.A. or Asia.

To the Right of the Tree of Life

Now let’s say you want to hop on Kali River Rapids as quickly as you can because it’s a scorcher of a day. Well, from the front of the park, you’re going to want to straight on down to the right side of the Tree of Life (as you’re facing it) for this path.

As with the previous one, it might not exactly fit with the “secret” shortcut vibe, but it will save you tons of time and you can grab a treat from either Eight Spoon Cafe or the Smiling Crocodile and get a drink to wash it down from Drinkwallah on your way to Kali River Rapids.

The Tree of Life

And finally, we’ve already mentioned it a bunch, but let’s talk about the Tree of Life.

There’s honestly no quicker way to get from Creature Comforts to the Adventurers Outpost or Asia and vise versa! Also, most people don’t realize how close up to the tree you can get.

It really can save you a bunch of time and be the backdrop for some pretty great family pics.
