Heads up if you have plans to visit the Magic Kingdom tomorrow.

If you’re visiting to Walt Disney World tomorrow, you may want to swap out heading to the Magic Kingdom for any of the resort’s other theme parks.
According to the Walt Disney World calendar, on June 21st the Magic Kingdom will be closing early. Specifically, the park’s hours are listed as 9:00AM to 7:00PM, with Early Entry for hotel guests from 7:30AM to 8:00AM.

So, if you are going to Walt Disney World tomorrow, you have a couple of choices. The first is to visit one of the of Disney’s other parks. The second, if you are dead set on visiting the Magic Kingdom, plan to do so early in the day and wrap by 7:00PM. Or the third, if you have Park Hopper tickets, is to visit Magic Kingdom early in the day, and then hop to another park for the evening. This option especially holds true if you want to see a nighttime fireworks spectacular, since obviously Happily Ever After won’t be an option.
Usually, early Walt Disney World park closures are an indication of a private event – – similar to the event that recently took place at Hollywood Studios, which included a massive stage for rock band Maroon 5 – – and this seems to be a similar case. According to some reports, the private is related to the Department of Defense’s Warrior Games, which are taking place at Walt Disney World from June 21st through the 23rd.

The Department of Defense Warrior Games is “an annual event, first held in 2010, that celebrates the resiliency and dedication of wounded, ill, and injured active duty and veteran U.S. military service members” according to the DOD.
The game’s goals are to enhance, “the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded warriors by providing them exposure to adaptive sports. Participation in the Warrior Games represents the culmination of a service member’s involvement in an adaptive sports program and demonstrates the incredible potential of wounded warriors through competitive sports.”

The Magic Kingdom is closing early for a private event tomorrow, so be prepared if you’ll be at Walt Disney World. Stay tuned to AllEars for further Disney World schedule updates.
