REVIEW: A Yeti-Themed Snack is at Disney World, and We LOVE It

Disney is always coming out with new treats in the parks, and we are excited to bring you a review of a new treat in Animal Kingdom!

We were really impressed with this treat, and we can’t wait to share all the details with you!

The Everest Cupcake recently made its way onto menus in Animal Kingdom. Currently, you can get this cupcake at both Restaurantosaurus and Pizzafari for $6.29!

The cupcake has a matcha cake base with a chocolate buttercream frosting. It is filled with a milk chocolate mousse, and then topped with crispy pearls and a white chocolate Yeti image.  Our first impression was that this cupcake is so pretty! The yeti looks pretty spooky, though!

The Yeti image and chocolate track are so cute and the matcha cake crumbles on the side add really fun texture! The white chocolate drizzle makes the cupcake look like a snowy mountain too!

However, even though it looks good, that doesn’t always mean it tastes good. But in this case, it looks good AND tastes good! It’s a win/win!

The matcha cake had a lovely matcha flavor that paired nicely with the chocolate from the mousse and frosting.  While you could easily taste the matcha flavor, it was not too overpowering. The sweetness was just right, as the matcha cake balanced out the sweetness of the chocolate frosting well.

The chocolate buttercream frosting was very fudgy-tasting and sweet. The chocolate mousse filling tasted similar to a chocolate custard. It was light and creamy, with good milk chocolate flavor. There was plenty of frosting on the cupcake and all the flavors worked really well together.

The crispy pearls added a fun crunch to the cupcake! The chocolate Yeti image and track were just plain chocolate, but no complaints here as they were such a great decoration for the cupcake!

This was a really tasty cupcake, and we definitely recommend grabbing it on your next trip to Animal Kingdom! The matcha and chocolate flavors worked great together, while not being overly sweet. It is absolutely adorable and tastes fantastic!
