Have you ever wanted to sail with Disney Cruise Line?

It’s certainly a different kind of vacation than visiting Disney World, that’s for sure. You’ll have an opportunity to meet characters, of course, and there are a lot of fun and unique activities for people of all ages. You can also find a lot of amazing dining options on Disney Cruises. Well, Disney Cruise Line continues to expand, and right now, it just added a new port to its list — come with us to check it out!
A few years ago, we reported that Disney Cruise Line would be sailing out of Port Everglades, the main cruising port in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2023. Well, Disney’s new port terminal there is officially open.

The Disney Dream is currently sailing out of the port, and the Disney Magic will set sail from it starting in May 2024. Guests will be able to take 3-5 night cruises from Port Everglades to The Bahamas and the Caribbean. We booked a cruise on the Dream recently, so here’s your first look at the new port.

The drop-off point for the port looks pretty much identical to other port drop-off areas.

But then you get those little Disney touches as you step into the Disney boarding area.

The artwork here is SO much fun and features a lot of our favorite characters.

Of course, you’ll see Mickey and Minnie in the artwork. They’re ready to set sail with us.

We really liked the Steamboat Willie mural with Mickey and Minnie, too.

Inside, you’ll see a big welcome sign and a well-lit area with plenty of seating.

The queue area has fun, vibrant lights and screens directing you where to go.

You’re assigned a boarding group, so when it’s time for your group to board, the displays will let you know.

As you board, you’ll see even more gorgeous artwork — this time, it’s dedicated to Finding Nemo. As you can tell, you’re basically traveling from land to sea through the artwork from outside the terminal to inside. VERY clever, Disney.

Displays will also remind you to have everything handy for when you actually board.

We’re pretty impressed with the new port so far, and we think it will be convenient for a lot of folks.
