Cultural Representatives Are BACK at Animal Kingdom Lodge in Disney World!

From savanna view rooms to unique dining locations, it’s a hotel unlike any other in Disney World. And one of our favorite elements of Animal Kingdom Lodge recently returned to make the guests’ experience even more special!

In the past, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has offered a program that brings in cultural representatives from various countries across Sub-Saharan Africa for various Cast Member positions at the resort. And while the program was temporarily paused following the 2020 park closures, it was restarted earlier this year and cultural representatives recently returned to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge!

As part of the one-year Disney International Program, these Cast Members help create authentic experiences and immerse guests in the diversity of their home countries through both cultural and conservation focused activities available at the resort.

These Cast Members take part in a variety of guest activities, like demonstrating the role of music in African culture, sharing first-hand knowledge about the 200-plus animals that live on the hotel’s savanna, and providing in-depth information about the unique aspects of their home countries.
